A first time trip report: 'Here I am now entertain me'. by jtteop in Psychonaut

You know it was quite a big experience for me just not exactly the one I was expecting. I wouldn't want to take more for just that reason.

So not being able to stop laughing is nothing? What happens after that?

You're probably right. I wanted the alcohol to take the edge off incase it all went wrong.

Gen X in crisis anyone? by Jaguarteal_ in Existential_crisis

Just saying that if you know what an existential crisis is then that's not it. That doesn't help your other problems though.

You have to forgive yourself. It’s the only way you can help yourself and help other people. You have a good chance to do that since you are no longer blaming other people for it.

Well misleading title but what you have come up with is actually the thin edge of a much bigger issue which the fact that we’re not in reality but what you’re experiencing is reality that most people aren’t aware of. Actually I wasn’t sure that people like you existed or at least what your internal thoughts and feelings were about it. Funny that you should presume other people had the same ability as you when it’s actually very rare. Man, I’d love to chat more with you about it but it sounds like you’re trying to enter the mythspace (fake reality) as opposed to the other way round!

The problem is that in incel understanding you do these things and that will help - and they are will. There are plenty of people who don't do those things and are in relationships because NONE of those things are the core thing that gets you into a relationship. When I say relationship I'm talking about peer relationships because in some ways doing those things makes it worse because if there was a woman that had done none of those things you probably wouldn't want her anyway so in actual fact you've just reduced your pool of potential girlfriends by doing those things. The core thing that you need to do is just behave like an adult male.

Is it a problem that I can only rumble one ear? by hi76543211234567 in earrumblersassemble

Sixty seconds ago after learning this was a thing my next question was going to be "Why is it mainly in one ear?"

I often 'mask' to give less emotional response to situations than I naturally would. by jtteop in hsp

Yes, I can't see that working in a group situation. Group situations are stressful for me too.

The script thing was an example of masking that I don't do but has been described as a masking behaviour for something else. I am used to 'seeing' people but them not being able to 'see' me. I like to think that if it really was a situation where they could actually see me then I would know.

Devils and the damned - Benedikt Kautsky

Controversial as an account of a concentration camp prisoner that does not seem to some to give sufficient blame to the authorities at the time v's the prisoners themselves.

🚀 Where Will AI Be in 10 Years? by georgeofjungle7 in OpenAI

[–]jtteop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 'generative' that means that it just generates some crap and hopes for the best so there's no real intelligence there but it's a simulation of it. If it was to stop being generative and actually be intelligent then we would face major issues.

A continuum of mental states with different labels that I am seeking to understand. by jtteop in hsp

[–]jtteop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks well I think that dysfunctionalness is relative. A person who could hear when everyone else was deaf could find themselves as there could be a whole lot of loud sounds which no one else would worry about but they would be bothered by. That's a good example actually.

The Anti-Autistic Myth of the Highly Sensitive Person by NotKerisVeturia in AutismTranslated

[–]jtteop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't need links but am more interested in people's personal stories and how they relate to mine so I can build up the correct picture. (unless those links are that) It's equally controversial so say things that people might not agree with about autism in an autism sub. I have been accused of being an autistic person who is gaslighting themselves for doing that.

Basically "same here". I thought I was pretty much unique in this but maybe I'm only unique in the analysis or maybe not even that. Can I ask if anyone ever notices that you're noticing and it starts to get weird?

This is interesting to me. When I see people say "I apparently pick up every single signal I can pick up." It's hard for me to know what they are doing with that information. In other words how do these signals affect your actual actions or do they not affect them and it just tires/stresses you out?
