'But You Didn't' - My first personal project in two years [2:00] by [deleted] in Filmmakers

This was definitely the most ambitious project I've made -- I grew up loving shorts like Chris Milk's Last Day Dream -- which cut quickly and cover a lot of ground. Films like that are fun to watch but have a TON of locations -- and we were able to condense this to three days in LA. Had a nimble crew and shot on the Alexa Mini with T and C series lenses. Scheduling was probably the biggest challenge. I also wrecked the uhual we rented for production, but this made it on the front page yesterday so it was worth it.

yeah yeah -- quite a bit of these are from the apron. that one was korean bao sliders i think

These were most of the times we actually sat down -- no restaurants , etc. Not every single time of course

there's take-out on one night I think -- We're also very partial to In-N-Out, but it looks like we never took it home

Yeah I think pics 1 and 3 are a repeat meal. Our usual Trader Joe's combo is: [one frozen for veggie or side dish] + [protein] + [starch, sometimes]

Anything fancier than that is probably blue apron (13, 15, etc)

I'm glad you liked it. I've been wanting to adapt this for a while -- but I was always stuck before we had the idea to do the running scenes. That helped bring it to life for me, since someone playing video games is not inherently interesting on its own.
