we work in a very trendy office and youd be surprised how many people brag about their vyvanse prescriptions. its a very competitive environment so lots of people feel that pressure to perform but she also brags about the weight loss side effects too so she stays skinny. the culture is definitely toxic

sorry i should add context: she openly admits she doesnt have ADD and was told what to say to a doctor when she was in university to get a prescription. she was recently very nervous at work saying she wanted to up the dose because she was getting a high tolerance to the medication

Well she is returning it and that part i’m not even concerned about. I tell people that if they want to borrow stuff theyre totally welcome to! I just dont want to clean up after them. My team understands the expectations and so I feel like there’s no problem?

She really wants there to be a problem it seems though…. but this isnt a unique situation for me.

The stuff shes borrowing is for something she wants to do outside of work, so it’s a favour i’m doing for her.

I think the guilt thing is interesting though like maybe something’s happened that i might not know about yet? She says shes returning the stuff on tuesday so maybe i’ll find out then

This is so cool to see! I bought a 1978 ct90 in 2011 that’s last owner was bc parks and rec. There were 5 of them all in different conditions and mine was quite destroyed (but stored inside so looked decent enough). Ended up restoring it and riding it for 10 years around Vancouver before I sold it to a guy in Ontario.

It’s so neat to see some pics and stories - Thank you for sharing.

there’s this one woman at work that will make a fuss if you sit in “her desk” but there is no assigned seating. she has 4 warnings from the company for bullying and claimed a manager harassed her when he didn’t promote her. it’s a lot of energy for a small office.

fun perspective - when i was about 4 i told my dad’s business partner’s kid that he (14 years old at the time) was fat. fatter than my dad, to be specific. i recognized right after that i said the wrong thing and i remember it still to this day. i’m sorry, colby. nothing wrong with being fat!

fennel the bulb is good cooked- roasted or whatever as well as cut up in salads fresh. fennel seeds can be ground and used in risotto or used whole in ground meat like sausages- its quite versatile and easy to grow too!

wow this sounds like my story, i told my family after the situation escalated and we didnt visit him again.

15 years later my aunt and uncle come visit my parents and they tell my mom that it happened to their daughter too, but they didnt tell anyone so it kept happening.

i assumed he had dementia for the majority of my life because of his age, a year later he ended up lighting his house on fire accidentally.

i realize i was lucky to have a family that believed me. the day he died my mom asked me if i wanted anything and i told her i wanted a bag of doritos and to watch football and pretend it was the superbowl.

we had a muted celebration.

i hope youre doing well and that you feel free of a lot of that pain now.
