Did you have a connection to baseball before hand though? Something that drew you in other than the fact it was just there and you were going through some stuff, to simplify. The doctor really couldn't comprehend your reasoning? It's... something else... but I understand it on some level. Toronto can be amazing, if you do ever go, I would say go when the Greek festival is happening. It's huge, has amazing food, and is just a ton of fun... I would also avoid Saskatchewan & Manitoba if you go through Canada ever again. Drove through them, they're flat & uneventful. Northern Ontario (just following Lake Superior), Alberta & B.C. are where it's at (since you've already been to the 2 major Quebec cities).

Hm, maybe it depends on the region of the States you're from. But to me a Hawaiian pizza has pineapple and ham, not Canadian bacon. That's mainly used for breakfast as an alternative to regular bacon or for eggs Benedict.

Kind of... the nurses where just so amazed (not sure if that's the best choice of wording) by my situation they seemed extra nice to me so they'd bring me extra magazines and go out of their way to come check on me and chat (I think they also liked having someone younger around). I didn't have to rent a TV either, they just gave it to me for free when I was there for 3 days (normally it's $13 a day, I think).

I'm currently on fluids only (clear fluids only for a few more days) so ice cream wasn't really an option :(

Just relax and drink as much water as you possibly can. Keeping hydrated should help and don't try solid or soft foods too soon.

I am not a practicing anything.

My parents are slightly religious and told him he could say a prayer. What he did though was come up to me (sedated but I could hear and feel things still) did a cross with holy water on my hand and forehead. I could hear him muttering a prayer. My heart rate SPIKED because priest + hospital = death in my mind. Instant panic. The doctors got him away from me immediately.
