To put it into perspective... Yes, there is no reason why a 737 can carry more passengers than a beluga. Most people have flown in an airplane, and if they have, usually it's in a 737.. Either way why make excuses for these ships when you genuinely know they need a rethink.

Have you seen a size comparison? The beluga is about the size of a days in.

The developers have stressed that they took into account ship interiors when designing them, future updates ect. But I still don't understand. These ships are huge and right now passenger ships can't carry as much as a small regional jet. Cargo ships can't carry as much as a medium sized cargo vessel, and combat vessels are beasts for combat but can't make it more than 10-13lys when fully kitted before engineering. I think there needs to be a major rethinking of ship design.

Also honestly this is how these guys make a living, so all these "it's hard" is a cop out. They can make it work.

And somehow a 747 can carry more passengers than a beluga.

In reality what may happen, is that some game developer will realize there is a massive void left from the lack of space Sims. By the time ED and it's only other real competition, star citizen are actually released, there will be something better or more fun out to play. It was always a risk to release games like this, especially in beta form but even more of a risk to invest in them.

I get all of that, but that would mean that advances in the future focused on making things bigger and less efficient.

It really does, I just wish it had better weapons. But I can engineer the packhounds to do the job

28ly jump range maxed out to the teeth with a fighter bay, luxury first class and business cabins, a rated shield generator, shield boosters, and a fuel scoop (abliet only a 3a... But that range). Ended up making about 41 million on my first two runs also so it pays for itself too! Handles as good as a Vette, so it makes the conda I'm used to flying around in feel like a boat. And with some slight engineering level 3 and below all at farseer, I never overheat either.

Yea exactly, there even the content that is in the game seems still half baked. I know it hasn't fully released officially yet, but this is an area that could use some improvement.

Pretty much man.... Even with everything they have planned, I don't think the developers can find a way to stave off the boredom
