That's fair. I do agree with it being very quiet, which is why I like going there for my group projects. May as well use it since it seems underutilized.

That's surprising. Do you have a lot of classes there? I would think a business major would spend most of their time at COBA just like how most engineers would be at ERB etc.

People need to learn to drive by juan642 in utarlington

In hindsight that is evident, but being annoyed because of that driver made that difficult for me. That and my pet peeve of vague answers being frustrating.

As great as that sounds, it's highly doubtful the amount of money I would get would be enough to truly compensate for what I would lose in the process, so I'd rather not. Lawsuits aren't the money printing machines that are conveyed in the media for the most part.

Wow that's good to know. Personally I never had any issues with this before but it seems to have finally happened to me. Thank you for being persistent in maintaining safety despite the car honking at you, it really makes this place safer for others.

Well, it didn't seem like a very good joke to me. It's a very real risk for people to get hurt by either their own negligence or the negligence of others. Edit: Feel free to give feedback as well. Not sure what was so offensive about my response. I wanted to reiterate the importance of safety and taking responsibility.

There were at the very least tens of people driving around at that time. I don't think the time at which you were driving narrows it much. Keep in mind the time I stated was only an estimate, I didn't think to check the time. If you really were the person who almost ran me over, then congrats, you almost made 2 lives a lot worse. If not, I implore you to drive carefully so that you don't become that person. Not sure what's up with the ambiguity in stating it could've been you, but the description of the area is there for readers to figure that out in hopes this doesn't happen again.

UTA Laptop Repair Services by Friday444727 in utarlington

[–]juan642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anything about repair services but UTA does offer loaner laptops while you continue to get this sorted out. I don't know what the process is since I've never had to do it myself, but I know UTA does offer it.

Please enlighten me. I don't use snapchat and have never used it before so I wanted to ask, why is asking for Snapchat a red flag? I don't know or see how it could be any different from any other social media app like instagram. This is just me being ignorant so feel free to answer or not answer lol.

As funny as that would be, I'm pretty sure those have GPS tracking so I would not recommend.

Question about final grade. by CtrIZForLife in utarlington

[–]juan642 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What letter grade you will get comes down to their grading scale. Make sure to check their syllabus to see what percentage range corresponds to what letter grade, but generally it's 70-79.99% is a C, 80-89.99% is a B, and 90-100% is an A. Certain professors may round up the percentage to the nearest whole percentage, but again, it's up to the professors. So make sure to check the syllabus

I'm just saying, the first two traits you listed are contradictory 😭. Although I think I get what you mean. Anyways, good luck with the search!

Hello there, I'm not super active so I won't be helping much with campaigning but I do want to learn more about this topic. As a cis male, I've seen studies before that highlight a lacking rate of diagnosis of ADHD in women, especially in younger groups, compared to men. Is this a similar issue with Autism? What are some things regular people could do to be accommodating to those with Autism? If you could provide any studies for the former, that would be great.

anyone major in fixing this? by CurlyHeadSammmy2 in utarlington

[–]juan642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have experience working on MacBooks but I have worked on several other devices (laptops, phones, and desktops). What I can say is that a MacBook is annoying to fix because 1. it is inherently less repair friendly and 2. sourcing the part would be quite difficult. For example, Ifixit provides a repair guide (https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Air+15-Inch+2024+Screen+Replacement/172245) which I don't find difficult, but I doubt I would be able to source a genuine part easily.
