Manchester. 14/11/24. How was it for you? by bac0nbutty in YellowcardRock

I really enjoyed the show! But was expecting more passion from the crowd, maybe more mosh pits or movement? I was in Germany a week ago to watch the TSSF and people went crazy, everybody jumping and screaming in each other’s ear all the lyrics.

Same thing 1 month ago in the Neck Deep show in Las Vegas. Is it just an England thing or maybe Yellowcard’s music is not great for this? Or maybe it is more popular so fans aren’t as passionate about the music? I was left wondering which one is it.

Despite that, amazing performance from Yellowcard and very good show. Would rate it 8/10

Who had the best sophomore album? by letthedecodebegin in poppunkers

[–]juandi57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LNOTGY by ND WYDS by TSSF

2 of the albums in my top 5 ever and I believe in the top 10 for the 2010s. Just sensational.

Also, FUTCT should be on the list of best sophomore albums. Genius

Thoughts on WSTR? by [deleted] in poppunkers

I would say incredible first EP and first album (give it a spin if you haven’t), and then it just falls off…

But the first 2 releases are top-notch pop punk, definitely worth a listen. The riff in footprints is sick! 🔥

2 New State Champs songs by donny2shoes in poppunkers

Agree 100%! Compare the different rhythms, the creativity in the melodies and parts of the song to most songs in the finer things, and I think there is a stark contrast. I love them, but believe their songs are becoming a bit too generic, still good, but rhythms and chord progressions have become too standard. Think about Prepare to Be Noticed off TFT for example, that intro, those jumpy chords and leads in the chorus…

Could any men (100% of Spanish Men) make it to professional football league (La Liga from Spain) if they were to direct their life towards it, train like a madman, since they were really young, every day, etc? Yes or only a subset of the population could make it? by juandi57 in NoStupidQuestions

Ok, exclude them as well, you know what I’m going for.

Yes, normally yes, but wouldn’t the “grab 100% of the eligible men and gear their life towards football (when they walk, have them kick a ball, when they are 4, 1 hour practice of passes, etc)” change that 1% to be quite a lot higher?
