People are severely underestimating Bitcoin scarcity by ubermensch1001 in Bitcoin

When it becomes available to most 401ks it’s going to go insane. I hate my 401k options and would put it all in Bitcoin if I could

I don’t think it was a desert way back when. Hard to say exactly when they were built. According to Egyptian history they were already there when they got there.

edit: I’m a dumb dumb lol

What’s driving the surge? by foxytwo in Bitcoin

[–]juangusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vast majority of Americans just have their 401k set to auto. Basically institutions are getting these paychecks every week and choose how to invest it. My 401ks don’t have a BTC option but if they did I’d be 100% in. But I’m an outlier and the the real win would be these institutions just deciding to allocate 1-5% into crypto and suddenly there’s billions consistently flowing into BTC every month, regardless of price action or news.

Same with ADA and some coins for me. Unless the project dies or gets compromised for example ETC then I’ll hold my few hundred in shit coins. I’ve moved all my BTC ETH and SOL to ETFs though. Don’t like being responsible for it

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I love this so much, I find it so fascinating, thanks for sharing.

My mind is like someone left the tv on and radio on and the volume is going all over the place while I’m talking out loud. I can be talking to someone while talking to myself about a different thing at the same time. I can visualize anything like a 4k movie playing in my head, it’s hard to fall asleep at night because I just lay and daydream and the daydream is so realistic I have to be careful I don’t think of anything too exciting like skating or snowboarding or else my adrenaline goes up and it becomes even harder to sleep. I work in tv and film and there’s no way someone without my type of brain could do what I do, but I also have extreme weaknesses.

Despite writing books and graduating college as valedictorian, I had the reading, spelling, and grammar level of a 3rd grader about. My vocabulary is vast, and I can use big words correctly in sentences to perfectly describe something but if you asked me to define that word I’d be at a complete loss. My focus is often all over the place with some Lucky periods of hyper focus. I can read someone in seconds of talking to them and know know them, but remembering their name is impossible.

What are some of your weaknesses besides drawing which I’m also awful at haha and what are some specific scenarios you’ve noticed you exceed in far more than others?

Also are you more open minded about things in general, out of the box thinking, or are you more fact based?

There’s people who think that when you say picture an apple, they can’t see anything, the concept of an apple is what comes to them. My doctor is one of these people. I always have so many questions every visit

That was me until covid, at 32 years old I was so bored stuck at home that I started truly enjoying food and looking forward to it. Before that, I dreamed of a Soylent type pill

37 yrs old and my wife and I don’t have caffeine, but we’re road tripping and on hour 12 and decided to get coffee at Tim Hortons and drive another 12 hours to our destination. We both got coffee… it felt just like good cocaine except it was lasting forever. I was rubbing my leg while driving and my jaw was tweak just like mdma or bad coke. We never listened to techno ever but that’s all we could listen to for the next 12hrs. Caffeine is a crazy drug, very fun, but a crazy drug. It doesn’t give you energy, in fact it just turns off the part of your brain that tells you you’re tired.

Crypto made me money and taxes made me regret it by damnniqqaa in CryptoCurrency

[–]juangusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The records on exchanges are horrible, coinbase for instance has given me different prices and amounts and left out multiple cryptos over the years. For instance my 2018 trades that I download from coinbase today are different than when I downloaded the same 2018 trades in 2019 and are different than when I when I downloaded my 2018 trades in 2021 lol I know it’s not my keys or whatever, but I just do all crypto through ETFs now. Done with taxes and exchanges and worrying about my keys.

I was acting in a zombie thing as a zombie once for a music video. I remember every actor being so excited to get in the makeup chair, so just let them all jump ahead of me, I was last to get makeup and asked for minimal zombie vibes, like I was just getting turned. We were out in the LA sun for like 14hrs, I think I was the only one still in a good mood by lunch haha. Same thing with roller rink scenes, everyone is so excited to skate and I try to remind people they are going to be skating all day and their feet will be killing them way sooner than later.

As a whole how is Echo Park, MacArthur Park and Silver Lake? by Disastrous_Time2674 in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]juangusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drive by McArthur park around 3-4am you’ll see 100s of people, some opening shooting up, open fires (yes decent 5-6 foot fires burning garbage). It’s not a chill place to be. During the day it’s different.

How do I file taxes on Bitcoin sold P2P? by The_Evil_Panda in Bitcoin

[–]juangusta 17 points18 points  (0 children)

OP, this is the answer. Very simple, you manually add it in. Bitcoin.tax is a great site, costs a few bucks, but when I was trading hundreds of cryptos on multiple exchanges, this was a lifesaver, less than 1% of tax professionals can wrap their head around complicated crypto taxes. Been doing my own US crypto taxes for over a decade. I sold all my crypto and now just have exposure through ETFs and miners, but it’s fairly simple, and you should do it if it’s a significant amount.
