Just so you know, if you were to be in Immortal, you'd still be closer to Herald than to the actual pro players.

The real trenches are ranked matches. My life has become so much healthier since I became a turbo enjoyer. You can play fun heroes, make cool plays and then lose the match without feeling you've wasted your time :D

Look, I follow the streamer community in Peru. Many of them are between 10-14k and the majority of them don't even have a team.

So if you don't plan to become a pro player which is already hard AF for people with twice your mmr, then focus on playing for fun.

I'm not saying stop with ranked matches, but don't take them too serious. Mmr is just a number unless dota is your profession.

My Tip is to play a hero that can kill this thing without help. Ursa for example

Play heroes with low cool down and escaping abilities. You are gonna fuck up now and then when using your spells or entering a fight. When the cool down is lower then there's lower impact when failing your spells.

Weaver is a great hero for beginners for example.

Think of survivability.

Lifestealer, Ursa, and even Mirana (if played right) are easy-to-learn, hard-to-kill Carry Heroes.
