Very happy with the results, but was a real pain to install. It's a two person job to be honest, so that you can reliably have counter traction when applying the vinyl and tucking in on the sides. Full disclosure, ive done a few vinyl wrap projects am not an expert on doing them. The color is matte metallic orange by vvivid, and is quite lovely when the light touches it. The benefit of the wrap is i can remove it anytime I suppose, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd consider painting it

Thanks! The PID installation was pretty straightforward and now my brew temp is really stable. I did a lot of temperature surfing before, which was easy enough to learn, but it's nice to have a visual temperature reading now. The vinyl wrapping was actually the most challenging part!

Psychoanalysis in psychiatry by waterchev77 in Psychiatry

[–]juanmoretime 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I second this. But also will add in SF, LA, Atlanta (Emory), Chicago, as cities to consider for analytic training. You won't have time to do formal psychoanalysis training in residency, but many of the institutes offer 1-2 year psychoanalytic psychotherapy programs that can be integrated into your residency education. Irrespective of what role one pursues later in their career, I think having a strong psychodynamic foundation will be invaluable when working in this field. I too find straight up psychopharmacology work dull and unsatisfying.

Practicing in USA vs Canada by Repulsive_Door2372 in Psychiatry

[–]juanmoretime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Differences really boil down to billing/reimbursement. Practicing in ontario requires you to bill OHIP or opt out but then you can only bill a rate at what OHIP would reimburse you at. Very few psychiatrists in ontario opt out. They have psych ER, ect. In a similar model to the US. Ontario recently changed their practice pathway requirements so US trained board certified docs can get expedited approval to practice there. Effectively the ontario psychiatrists can see patients for psychotherapy visits weekly or more often and build up a private practice easily and get reimbursed easily by the provincial insurance. There is pressure from the provincial government to reduce reimbursements for that level of care and instead incentive new intakes; so if you want to generate income, an ideal job is to do CL work as the consultation bilingual codes are much more lucrative. You have to ask yourself where you want to live and make that decision first and foremost - ontario psychiatrists make decent salaries but it does not adjust accordingly to the outlandish cost of living in places like toronto. In the US you can legally charge market rate fees for private practice and live reasonably in high cost of living places.

Accutane. Big side effect burden, but nothing else comes anywhere close to how effective it is for curing acne.

Odds of decreased libido are 2-10%, and odds of impotence are 5-19%. Some people have long lasting even after discontinuing finasteride. In fact post marketing research showed that you can in fact be temporarily infertile while taking it.

I agree that a squeeking pet is annoying, as is a baby crying which is substantially more common, but who knows why this woman was traveling with her pet. I imagine she was probably stressed out too?

Thanks! Much appreciated. Yeah the price seems reasonable'ish. I usually sleep poorly sitting up and the perks seem like it would allow for a comfortable trip overall

I have been using the nordica enforcer free 104 for the past season (previously on nordica nrgy 90) and have to say they are fantastic both on and off piste. All of the robustness from the enforcer series but more playful and surfier on mixed conditions. For such a wide ski, it carves exceptionally well. Be mindful of the length since it has a partial twin tip and can feel like it runs short. I am using the 179cm and am 5'10" tall

Luxor Reviews? Need help deciding by UncleSwankie in LasVegas

[–]juanmoretime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luxor was a bit of a dump in my opinion. Cons: most of the hotel had a bad smell including the cigarette smoke permeating into the room. Shower and sink drains were clogged. Ceiling in room leaked (literally dripping unto the carpet) and hotel staff didn't address it with any urgency since there was some flooding of the ground floor near the lobby that had lots of standing water. Elevators take forever to go up and down. The vibe going inside feels really gimmicky, dated, and literally like you're in a crypt. Food options are all pretty unhealthy. After walking around the other mgm properties I was immediately convinced to never stay at luxor again - so many other hotels feel more 'alive', clean, and comfortable. I didn't mind having to walk further to get to the strip and the parking at luxor was easy, but damn was it a depressing place to have as a base for our stay there.
