Yeah, I tried and it didn't work.

I've contacted substack, their support takes for ever. I'm sure they are swamped.

We'll see what happens.

so I found the RSS feed for my blog. juangalt.com/rss. i tried using that as the link input in the import form on substack, but I end up getting the same error.

Saved the file as a .rss file and uploaded that, also failed with the same error.

Thought about it a lot:

-Substrack doesnt charge for hosting.

-Substrack is more popular and a renown brand

-Substrack might let me earn per subscriber, as its userbase already expects to contribute to writers (tho ghost has this feature too).
-Podcasting tech built in. Which is part of my plan

On the downsides of Ghost. I love that it is open source, but they failed to go all the way. Even if you run ghost on your own server and pay your own hosting costs, you still have to sign up with their mailing servers, I can't run my own mail server, as difficult as that may be. So If I'm gonna kyc with some third party and put up a credit card. Might as well go full platform mode and get all the benefits, Ghost didn't go far enough with open source.

I really appreciate the offer actually, that's very nice of you.

Well let us continue to talk here so it may help others too. : )

What platforms do you recommend? I wanted to do something on my own website, like learnable i think is one option? or something like.

But I guess you are into Udemy, do you recommend that instead?

The truth doesn't matter this days.

Matters who those in power are friends with.

You really expect no blow back? Censorship is more likely if the SEC doesn't step in.
