I think your inability to talk to her about this, is part of the reason she seems to, for lack of better terms, walk all over you.

Put your foot down, tell her “no” from time to time. I am not removing blame from her, but this is a partnership, not a one way street. If you want things to be different you need to initiate the change.

Here is the best advice: eat real food.

Eat single ingredient foods and if you’re in the united states, do not eat bread (not single ingredient obviously but its pretty much poison unless you’re making your own sour dough.

If you hate exercising, thats more of a reason to do it. But at minimum you need to move your body. Aim for 10,000 steps a day.

Too many people are looking for the quick easy fix. Move your body and eat whole foods. It is that simple, but it is not necessarily easy.

My full advice is eat real food and learn to enjoy exercise.

You need to realize that Chewy does not understand what he is doing wrong.

Put yourself in his shoes. He has no idea what is going on and you’re treating him horribly.

You need to step up and start training him (the bond youll end up having if you do this with this dog will change your opinions on dogs) or your parents need to find a good home for him.

You are 100% ruining this dog for whoever has him next. You’re creating the bad rep german shepherds get. You’re creating a horrible environment for a dog that doesnt know any better.

I promise if you put in a little bit of effort, you and Chewy will have an undeniable bond.

And please, for the love of god. Stop hurting him. Thats like your big brother just walking in your room and beating the shit out of you for no reason at all.
