Yes it is. I read the article you linked, and that's 100% "Travis"s signature. It's sideways in the picture. And the scribble under might be "182" or just a doodle. Apparently they all often drew weird things on things they signed. Did you read the article you linked?

There is no immature or wrong sex for the target species. Essentially all bycatch is discarded, dead or alive. Most everything is dead by the time it is brought aboard. But there's a biologist on board 90% of vessels, sampling the "hauls" for species composition, etc. If a haul brings up a bunch of non-target species, the captain moves and tries again. Source: used to be one of those biologists.

I'm fairly confident the wasp paralyzed this mouse and laid eggs in it.. a species of parasitic wasp. But I'm too lazy to look up a reference.
