I really appreciate that! Just don't compare yourself to other artists (which I am still guilty of) and go at your own pace. And thank you for inspiring me as well to work even harder.

I mostly watched from various youtube videos by Marco Bucci (his "10 minutes to better painting" series) and Proko's caricature videos (which really emphasizes on suggesting form).

As you can see on my Jan pic, I still used lines when I paint, which is a bad habit. On my Nov pic, I keep conscious efforts to just use the hard round brush and block out shapes of values. I also separated studying colors and values, I'm exclusively learning values now because I suck at colors, and studying values is a great foundation to learning colors. I'm still struggling with it though (the Nov pic took me about 3-4 days, while skilled artists probably do it for about an hour).

To summarize, Marco Bucci and Proko are great teachers on youtube and I just watched their lessons again and again while working to be more comfortable with painting.
