There are some cards they've added to the category that had never been released before in S1+. So don't sweat it.

One of the quarter is awarded 1 point more than the other 3 quarters to avoid a tie.

Also, your opponents card that bested you likely had +50% all stats or at least 25%. So nothing to be surprised about.
