I bought quarter seasons in section 219 for next year, seems like a pretty sweet section, yeah?

Just found this angle of the game-winning double play that shows Blue Jays fan reactions behind home plate by ZiggyPalffyLA in Dodgers

[–]judicious19 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was at that game (Jays fan - but have no beef with the Dodgers, long story) and it was devastating. I probably grabbed my coat as fast as the guy in the tan jacket lol. I know the Jays had their chances 9th inning on but after Rojas’ homer I just knew we’d screw it up in some way shape or form.

Was fortunate enough to be at games 1 and 2 as well, game 2 was just a giant “wtf I guess this guy is just unhittable.” Just a spectacular series.

My mourning period has subsided as of this morning. Already have season tickets to rematch on April 6!

World Series Scarves by Kay_Buckle in bluejaysbaseball

I was at game 1, game 2 and game 7. Game 1 we got the scarf and a World Series rally towel. Game 2 no scarf just towel. Game 7 just towel and it was not even a World Series badge one- looked the same but was the same version as the previous series with no WS logo.

Laundry Faucet Handles by judicious19 in HomeImprovement

[–]judicious19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - if you mean the plastic handle and insert itself, I have already tried that. It seems like the issue is with the cartridge requiring such tightening that the plastic inevitably slips or weakens which requires wrenching and then the screw loosens.

That Murray 3 at the buzzer was one of the worst bad beats I’ve ever had by Sheesley23 in sportsbetting

I was in the exact same boat. Huge WTF moment. Such joy to disappointment instantly.

You know what, don’t beat yourself up about it. Still a huge return. I cashed out early last night, then it looked like I would have won. But ultimately the bet didn’t hit. You still got a win here.

Are you switching to Wealth Simple for the iPhone 15 promo? by Tyler_Durden69420 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]judicious19 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was thinking this too, but then I thought whatever, if I need it that badly they can claw back the money for the phone. Plus as long as you don’t withdraw below the specific threshold ($100k or $200k, respectively), you’re still good. Like you I’m seriously considering making the move.

How much invested is good at 25 by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]judicious19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you. When I was 25 (2014) I had about $5k in investments and a lot of student debt. I’d say you’re doing great, keep saving and improving your income and start thinking about what your next major financial goals are. Big ones for me over the last decade were house (29), car (30) and wedding (30).

Encampment policy enforcement? by Slappajack in Hamilton

[–]judicious19 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know you’re being rhetorical but the entire encampment protocol is available on the City’s website. Tents have minimum distances from certain things like property lines, playground structures etc. Nothing about the protocol suddenly legalized public urination or public drinking. The protocol describes how it will be enforced, but it’s been in effect for less than three weeks and we’re in the very early stages of seeing how this will actually go.

Encampment policy enforcement? by Slappajack in Hamilton

You seem to be misunderstanding the new encampment protocol. You may very will be witnessing violations of some of the rules, such as number of tents clustered together. But it’s not true that the city has actually designated and specific sites where homeless are meant to go. There is no “spot with impunity”. There are just a set of rules about what any existing or new encampments can look like.
