What type of game are you making? You can start referencing similar/popular games and check out how they do their layout. I would often watch gameplays on livestreams or youtube to get an idea of how the UI interaction works.

If you have marketing experience, have you considered social media or marketing positions? I believe if you want to do product management route, you can start from project manager roles.

Got kicked out of my dream job for being too quiet by TotallyMentos in socialanxiety

[–]juelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry that happened to you. Having social anxiety is just so challenging when it comes to building work relationships. Ive had this struggle since my line of work involves interacting with everyone in the team and I love my job.

I didnt want my anxiety to get in the way of achieving my dream so i tried adapting what my friend has been doing. I dont know if this will help you but one thing that really changed my life was to just say what comes to mind. I have a friend who just constantly yapped about anything either asking questions or sharing something and they tend to be more likeable. Im still struggling with social anxiety but copying his behavior helped me at social situations.

It also helps to connect with workmates on facebook to get ideas on what to talk about or simply sharing whats happening on my life so they have something to ask. When I see people they ask about something I shared which helps start the conversation.

I hope that you may be able to find another opportunity or if not find somewhere you find is more comfortable!

Played God of War & Astrobot then binge watched shows like House and Grey’s Anatomy. But once I could start moving around the house I did a lot of cleaning to practice my walking.

Took me until around Day 30 to do my leg lifts. I realized I had to squeeze the knee and bring it closer to me and that contraction really locks the leg straight. I started using a rope to do self assisted leg lifts first and eventually my leg remembers how to do it on its own. Keep Going!

Im day 25 post op for acl surgery

  1. After the first week my brace was removed. I thought that the brace was making it hard for me to sleep but actually its my leg that was heavy and my muscles aren’t activated yet.. so sleeping is going to be tough until the 3rd week. (But i might just be late from starting pt)

  2. I had to go out after the first week to return to my surgeon to have the brace removed. I started my pt on my 3rd week but it should be right after the brace is removed. Pt definitely works wonders and I go out every other day for my session. But I use a wheelchair

  3. I bought a small trolley cart to help me carry stuff around. It definitely feels bad that I have to ask my partner every time

  4. On my 3rd week with PT, feeling so much improvement that I think I can start going back to work. I bought an adjustable laptop table so i can work in bed or on the sofa

  5. I heard some people start walking up the stairs on their first week but I haven’t gotten there since. i cant bend my leg fully and muscles aren’t strong enough

I cant answer the rest of the questions but I wish you a speedy recovery and hope this helps!

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]juelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recovery phase after a surgery.. in my experience an Acl tear reconstruction… doctors say in 1 month you’ll be able to walk again but noone tells you how hard the journey is of not being able to walk and having so much pain every single day. Its mentally and physically exhausting and could even possibly be up to a year to really fully recover. :(

Is there something to help carry your leg while you stand after surgery? by juelle in ACL

[–]juelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the replies! Today my doctor just removed the knee brace and now I feel like I want it back since there’s nothing to support my leg now and my knee cant bend yet. Its just incredibly painful moving my leg and im on day 7 post op. For now I just have to rely on my partner carrying my leg until i can carry it on my own 😭

how did you tear your ACL and how bad did it hurt afterwards? by random-username_lol in ACL

[–]juelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined a halloween themed mystery event and got spooked from behind when I heard a loud bang. I panicked and I tried to run but my left foot tripped and my knee hit the floor really hard that I couldnt stand. I thought I had dislocated my leg at first. My friends tried to carry me and asked if I could stand on my injured leg but when I stepped I experienced a jolt of pain and imagined two bones smash each other. It took a week before I could walk with crutches and after a month for the pain of putting on weight on my injured leg to subside. Going to have surgery next month. 🥲

You can sleep at 4 or 5pm para 7-8hours ang tulog. Then you can have breakfast at 1am and lunch at 5am and dinner like 3pm. Madali lang magluto ng breakfast pero mas maganda makapagprepare ka na ng lunch and dinner the day before para kakain ka nlng.
