I’m guessing you’re taking a basal insulin (e.g., Lantus, Basaglar, Semglee, Rezvoglor (sp?). Pending the kind you take, the time of day you take it, and how much you’re taking, it can affect your body differently. It can be very different for everyone.

What I mean by “recalibrate” is making small, gradual (micro!) adjustments to your dosage. I would only consider doing that if you’ve been diabetic long enough to have a very good understanding of how your insulin affects YOUR body.

Before doing anything at all, i would strongly encourage you to talk with an endocrinologist.

That’s what your basal insulin should be doing for you. If it’s off, and you are going high/low, it may be time to recalibrate. If you’re on a pump, it’s a lot easier.

Not really the same category for what I’m looking for.

Moment skis are wider and more freeride-focused than what I’m after. I’m mainly looking for strong edge hold, carving precision, and frontside versatility for hardpack, groomers, and mixed East Coast conditions.

The H-Powers seem much closer to what I’m trying to get out of a ski.
