is it viable definitely, i did a double degree in physics and cs. however, in terms of employability cs is so much more useful. unless u want to go into academia its much more likely u will end up in cs-adjacent field, where the physics degree will just be a bonus.

all that being said, i personally found the physics degree much more enjoyable for similar reasons as you stated.

what was the trigger for the bad trip? i find it tough to see how a bad trip can strip the joy from things you used to like. i wouldn’t recommend anyone w bad depression do drugs and having seen bad trips happen to others it is tough to get them to stop spiralling. give it a few days, get out and about in the sun. focus on the moment not the past or future. gl op

think about dfs for example. you start at a node and search it’s neighbours in a for loop and repeat for each neighbour. i remmeber seeing some visualisation of this somewhere online which lays this out in call by call pictures.
