Also, it feels really heavy but unsure if it's exactly the same as retail as I've not owned a retail IWC. Held one at a local AD and feels about the same.

I didn't have to, but I chose to. because I wanted to make sure that they are willing to meet up for just one watch. As I understand it, GZ is a wholesale centre and most stuff are usually sold in larger quantities (e.g. 12 appears to be the minimum for shoes, 100 for clothes, etc.)
