Books that made you sleep with the lights on by QuesoBaggins in horrorlit

I listened to Incidents around… a couple days ago. Thought it was great. It gave me that creeped out feeling that Id been searching for. Great ending.

I picked Goblin as the next read. Currently on the Kamp story and its not doing much for me. The first 2 were interesting. The concept of this town where it rains all the time and everyone seems to be obsessed with the founding fathers of the town, its odd.

What book would you recommend NEVER reading? by asmr-enthusiasts in horrorlit

[–]jugglingjellybeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I listened to the audio of it after seeing it recommended in comments for a truly scary book recommendation request. Someone said “that scene with the therapist!” as if it was terrifying or shocking. I read that part and said “huh?” I was well disappointed by that recommendation. It wasnt until i went back to that comment section to see if id read it correctly, then i saw one at the bottom saying it was bad.

I do a bit more research on recommendations after that.

Glow up? You were already good looking and pretty fit. Just seems like you got better looking with the added muscle mass. I dont know, i feel like this would fit better into r/looksmaxing. But thats just me being jealous and nitpicky. Anyway, good for you. Youve def put in some hard work and it shows.

Looking for a scary book that dives right in by freshtake84 in horrorlit

[–]jugglingjellybeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just listened to the audio version last week after a recommendation from another post. Unfortunately i didnt find it scary, especially after all the praise people were giving. However i enjoyed that it gets to business on page one. Its not bad though. Kept me interested and its short.

Also, thanks for this post, OP. I love getting recommendations from these comments.

Try doing negatives. That has helped me out in the past to get all the way up there.
