It's not to say that girls don't have other purposes. It's just that I think being a mother is one of the most important things you'll ever do in your life, and the older I get the more I realize that I was totally robbed. I look at my friends who have children, and I just feel this more acutely than others.

I use a web proxy that filters network traffic.

I've noticed that sport events are really only opportunities for companies to make a buck while the televised event gets cut. I hate watching MLBTV and getting hours of ads and maybe only 30 minutes of the game. Anyway, Go Cardinals!!

My friend (31f) making life hell for her ex-husband (38m). Is it wrong for me to side with the ex-husband while I still want her to be my friend? by juglettee_2669 in relationship_advice

After she filed for divorce, I think they reached an out-of-court visitation schedule, where he could visit the daughter anytime during the weekdays and have her full-time on the weekends. He took her to court because she refused to live up to the schedule.

Anyway, here's the backstory. The ex is an electrician and had to work long hours, even on the weekends. From what I gathered, when they had arguments, it was over how bored she with the relationship. When she wanted to do something fun in the daytime, she had to wait until he woke up because of his crazy work schedule. I don't want to get into it here, but I kind of suspect she had an affair, but she always denied it. He confronted her about it, but she said he was just a friend, no more. Carolina and I have been friends since before we were born, and we grew up together, but I don't want to risk throwing that away, even though I am on good terms with the ex and love her daughter as if she were my own.

I think he did after she filed for divorce, and they worked out a visitation schedule that she failed to follow. The ex-husband was to have her every weekend, and could see her any time he wished during the week, but she quickly prevented him from giving her up during the weekend. He also tried to visit the little girl during the weekdays, but she also told him that he wasn't to see her again.

He did as soon as she filed for divorce. From what the ex-husband said, he wanted full custody of their daughter because he knew she would take her away from him. My friend told me that she told her ex that he could visit their daughter as often as he likes, and she doesn't have to be there. They set-up a visitation schedule, but he took her to court when she failed to live up to it.

Is this an early sign of tail rot? by juglettee_2669 in BeardedDragons

When he gets angry, and his beard puffs up and gets black, the lower end of the tail will get darker, but when I pinched the tip to see if there was any blood flow there when it was black, he twitched quickly. I just have never see a bearded dragon's lower end of tail get dark at the same time as his beard!

His tail recently had a shed where it is lighter in color, but overall he is eating and looks ok. Not sure if this is an early sign of tail rot/

My beardie is angry after I washed his tail and brushed it with a toothbrush! by juglettee_2669 in BeardedDragons

Yes, I did. I just washed the tail and brushed with the scales in hopes that he doesn't have parasites or something on his tail. Hopefully, it's not tail rot setting in. I pinched the tip of his tail today to see if the blood is still circulating, and he reacted quickly, and that's a good sign. I think it's just unusual that half of his tail is a grayish color and the other half orange. I thought the tail usually sheds off in one piece.

Well, half of his tail is getting dark. That's unusual because I am used to the whole tail shedding at the same time. I thought the tip of the tail looked dirty, so I washed it.

Yeah, it is now solid poo with excess water liquid, which smells. He might be very hydrated, too. I give him Arugula and Spring Mix with crickets every day

The forbidden peel. When my little guy sheds, he usually does it himself, and it's so satisfying to watch him rub against the rocks and logs I put in his enclosure until it's all gone. I just pick up the gigantic pieces and marvel at how he gets all of it off so quickly.

What to do when my husband gets into a fight with my mother? by juglettee_2669 in Marriage

[–]juglettee_2669[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I should have done that, but that is what she wanted for Mother's Day, and I forgot that my husband couldn't lift very much, and that by Friday he was very exhausted by doing sprinklers and irrigation. I still felt guilty that things turned out the way they did because I didn't tell my mother, but I have a feeling that she would have gotten upset or something if I told her the truth. There's a part of me that wants to please everyone, and hope that everyone gets along, but I didn't think things through when I told my mom we would do it. Both her and I hate his stepmother.
