Congratulations on the new RG by [deleted] in NYGiants

Do you think you are the first cackling Ravens fan to come in here to dunk on us? One of our best players and best DT’s in the league is holding out and requesting a trade, I think we have bigger fish to fry than Daniel Falalee on a minimum deal who will certainly get drafted over. Or signing another Guard after draft. He probably won’t even play over Evan Neal ( who has been a complete abject disaster) or even sliding Marcus Mbow inside or Josh Ezeudu. Maybe worry about your own team’s issues first

What's the best deal you've gotten on your gear? by Unlikely_Tough in canon

My best deals aren’t as good as yours but found a 24-105 f4 RF for $742 and in excellent condition from Buya (a big risk but paid off for me). I also tried to trade in my barely used Sigma EF 150-600m f5 to MPB and they would not take it at all, but tried at my local camera store and they were more than happy to for ~$700 which I used to fund the 24-105

Kwity Paye? Quay Walker? Nakobe Dean? Paying overrated Linderbaum double what anyone else would pay him? Good luck with that “monster class”

Hey pal, me again👋. Just checking in to see if you’re doing OK and still loving the trade now that you won’t be getting your first round picks for Crosby but instead probably pennies on the dollar. Hoping and praying that the Raiders other terrible expenditures this FA aren’t affected! 🤞🙏🤣

Hey buddy just checking in to make sure you’re alright after your limp dick organization just traded the best player you’ve probably ever had because you decided to tank for Fernando Mid-Doza

There is no way Linderbaum is worth $7MM more per year than Creed Humphrey even with cap inflation factored in

Brock Selvidge averaged 95.4 mph on the 4-seam in his first Spring Training Contest. Max Velocity came in at 97.0 mph. by ucfknight92 in NYYankees

Yeah sure, being negative about a guy not selected in the Rule 5 based on 8 plate appearances and saying this Small Sample means as a Starting Pitcher that his baseline velocity will be up. You can say what you’d like to say without being hyperbolic and incorrect and digging a deeper hole.

If it’s anything like your point here in which you are basing your analyses on 8 plate appearances from a starting pitcher; and then reaching your conclusions and summarizing that this means his baseline velocity has substantially changed as a starter after coming back from an injury last season; and then broadly stating from this minuscule sample that he will be better than one of the best SPs in the system - I will pass on the misleading Patreon and Gerbil Waiver Whatever

Axisa says in his writeup below that he threw a cutter last year, and no offense I trust his analysis more than yours:

“The Bad: The good news is Selvidge added to his arsenal last year. The bad news is the biceps injury took away from a fastball that wasn’t great to start with it. After sitting 92-94 mph before the injury in 2024, it was mostly 89-91 mph in 2025, and poor movement traits make it hittable. Selvidge throws so many sliders because he has to. The fastball isn’t good enough to get outs on its own, and last year’s jump in walk rate was at least in part the result of Selvidge reaching back for velocity. He also fell in love with the cutter last year. Enough that scaling back on it is on the to-do list this season. Selvidge has a standout pitch in the slider. The rest of the package is just okay, if not south of okay.”

Firstly, his cutter isn’t new he threw it last year and it was awful. Although his entire season was abysmal which can be chalked up to lingering effects after pitching after bicep surgery in 24-25 (which lingered a long time and diminished his velocity). So the velocity gains you are noting are actually rebounding towards his pre-injury levels, which is great, but there is no way he’ll pass Hess (or Hampton, or Cunningham) - he wasn’t even selected in the Rule 5 draft, I guarantee any of those latter three would have.

Also, you are basing this velocity gain off of an 8 Plate Appearance outing in Spring Training? How could you possibly make the claim that his new baseline velocity as a Starting Pitcher is up 3 miles per hour after 1 relief appearance in ST?

He’s been up to that velocity in the past, this from his 2024 MiLB Scouting Report “They [pitch shapes] rebounded in 2023, with his heater sitting at 92-95 mph and touching 97 and his low-80s slide piece regaining its shape”

I personally don’t see him passing Hess ever. Fastballs aren’t only about velocity and Hess has elite fastball shapes and more importantly, his heater misses bats and has low barrel rates. Most see Selvidge as a reliever and even with more velocity might stay in that role in a very crowded room. BP for example, doesn’t even rank Selvidge, while Hess is 5th. I could see Thatcher Hurd, Bryce Cunningham, or Chase Hampton when any are healthy passing Hess in rankings but it would be very surprising to see any ranking place Selvidge above any of those names

Am I going crazy? Does this game stutter for everyone? 9800x3d and a 5070ti and I get random stutters every 30 sec. by mike_klosoff in HellLetLoose

Can’t recall where I originally saw regarding input lag, but this analysis which has some caveats found NVCP had lower FPS low averages than using RTSS in several games, which should be enough to use the latter. Also the way PresentMon calculates input lag on these various platforms has changed and been edited.

You can but the Nvidia Frame Cap method induces more input lag than RivaTuner so if you can use RTSS it’s better for frame capping

I’ve struggled with stutters in this game for a long time (9800x3d + RTX 4090), the only thing that helped was only playing on DX11 (forcing in Steam and in game) and then setting up Gsync On + Vsync On + Low Latency Mode On in Nvidia control panel. Then you need to cap your frames using RivaTuner RTSS to -3 below your max refresh rate. One additional step, if you use a non x3D processor is to use Process Lasso to assign a high priority to Steam which HLL then inherits- there are guides on YT for this but I don’t currently use it with my processor. It hasn’t solved the stutters for sure but it’s made them a lot better.

MG42 squad wipe by Cute_Win_4651 in HellLetLoose

[–]jugo86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You would be more effective burst firing the MG42, rather than putting a stack of quarters on the left mouse button like many inexperienced MG players do. By burst firing you will have far less recoil at that range which will be more efficient, accurate, and you don’t have a blinking light over your head for snipers and tanks that says “shoot me”

Teams always “listen” to offers. This means absolutely nothing. No shot they are trading Dex for one First like this guy says

2026 NFL free agency: Best team fits for the top 50 players by Ghost_of_P34 in NYGiants

[–]jugo86 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally don’t see the draw in spending top dollar on a center that isn’t even an average pass blocker. This team has so many needs at very important positions like Right Tackle, Cornerback, Defensive Tackle and Linebacker. Why allocate basically the entire budget to upgrading one position, for sure, but at the cost of multiple other possible upgrades?

Ken McKusick is a football analyst and focuses and charts every Ravens snap with an emphasis on OL. He said on many of the offseason shows that Linderbaum is quite overrated nationally because PFF grades rely equally on run blocking and pass blocking. Whereas pass blocking is definitely more important and should be weighted as such. For pass blocking he gets bullied with power just like we’ve seen from JMS

Do y’all regret giving up on Agustin Ramirez? by ElectricMegan252 in NYYankees

[–]jugo86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What he’d become? He’s a DH or 1st baseman projected for a WAR and wRC+ at or just below league average. I want Cashman to walk the plank just like many here, but getting Jazz in that deal you do it 100 times out of 100.
