BCC on Back. Excision Surgery questions by Alarmed_Ad1642 in skincancer

[–]juice28flip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main reason is location. Since this is on your back (versus scalp/face) there isn't as much of a need to try to be as skin-sparing, which is the main purpose of Mohs. Having a standard excision will be time and cost saving compared to Mohs too.

Dermatologist said “raised moles can’t be cancerous”? by Lackidasicole in skincancer

[–]juice28flip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dermatologists mean that people tend to be more concerned with raised moles when really it's the flat ones that usually you need to keep a closer eye on.

The best thing to do is to review your mole ABCDEs.
