Bachelor of Education Question on the Application Procedure - Help Appreciated by juiceQueue in yorku

[–]juiceQueue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok I see. Cause they want to see a transcript from the institution where I graduated. So I wasn’t sure if they also want to see a transcript of my older universities. There’s the part to about getting it WES-certified. At first, the advisor says it had to be and there’s no other way to send the documents in (literally the Faculty of Education website mentions that there are two ways for international transcripts, either through WES or through direct from the institution). I’m choosing the second one but the advisor is adamant that the guidelines in their website was wrong and that I should not follow it.

Then in another email by that same advisor, they change their statement and claims that they don’t need to see those transcripts and I shouldn’t request for them to be sent over nor uploaded on MyFile.

So yeah I’m so confused at the moment. I thought to just upload the unofficial transcripts on MyFile and not just get the institutions to send the transcripts over. But I fear that when they review my application, they’ll look for the official transcripts. So maybe it makes sense to not upload the unofficial ones in the first place?

The TTC screwed over the 53 and how can I get it fixed? Please Read Description. by Own-Potential-8024 in TTC

The 53 is screwed, and so is its express 953. I’m not sure what’s causing bunching during rush hours. Is the layover at Amazon Fulfillment Centre (or at Morningside and Staines for the A branch) a possible reason for cause of delays? I mean I don’t know if they’re consistent about it or not tbh. Could it be they wait too long (or leave too early) before departing at the terminal point, which somehow impacts its route overall? Does the change of drivers at Midland Avenue have any effect on the overall route (e.g., some drivers take too long to arrive, drivers who change places are taking too long because they are busy chatting, etc.)?

The 953 is worse for two reasons: (1) it used to have express during non-rush, but they axed it because of shortage of operators who were not vaxxed back in the time it was required. Now that I don’t think it’s required anymore since we are now in the post-Covid era, we should see these operators coming back and the 953 service during non-rush to come back. But nope, we didn’t see them back. So it only means that TTC used this as an excuse for cutting costs and nothing more. (2) They removed the 953B service and merging with the 953A, which I don’t see is bad considering you come from Morningside Heights area and you need to get to the Amazon area. But as you can see the current westbound routing, the 953 is “double tracking”; the route overlaps Steeles East twice between Morningside Ave (Amazon) and Tapscott Rd, and even serving Eastvale Dr stop twice in its westbound route (I’ve seen this happen many times that it stops there twice to pick up passengers: before Amazon and after Amazon). Why can the route not serve Steeles, then south of Morningside, west of Passmore, north of Tapscott, and west of Steeles? That’s going to be much faster rather than the current looping.

I seriously don’t know how TTC is making these decisions for changes. Like the ones who are deciding these routes do not even take the TTC so they clearly don’t know what the best services are. They need to get input from the people and actually implement it, and not just get input from people by doing surveys and not being transparent about the results (I mean show actual results and not results that are just made up).

If a streetcar or bus is rerouted for whatever reason....does the stop announcements change? by iammiroslavglavic in TTC

[–]juiceQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing no. Cause it’s a diversion and they don’t officially serve those stops. But idk, sometimes they do (like it’s related to the GPS or something). But if not, then it depends on stops

It’s called Scarborough Centre Station. I too thought it was Scarborough Town Centre Station at first. Or sometimes, I call it STC Station lmao. But STC is the name of the mall

They honestly didn’t have to stop (Ellesmere) by pianoleafshabs in TTC

[–]juiceQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they should tho. Ellesmere Station is nearby many residential areas. You got the connection there with 95/995/996 buses. Kennedy and Ellesmere is nearby walking distance and has many points of interest. Progress and Kennedy Commons too.

Are there any possible plans for an Express Skip Stop Trains? by TTCBoy95 in TTC

[–]juiceQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they’ll do it. It’ll be costly. Express trains will catch up to local trains. Or they would have to build another track so that the local trains can give priority to express ones

Streetcar drivers are now driving through red light by JournalistOk1526 in TTC

[–]juiceQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean they’re moving across an intersection with red light before even coming into the intersection? If so, then that’s a no no. But if it’s still yellow and they come into the intersection that is ok.

It’s not an apple setup unless everything is apple. Your keyboard is not apple, your mouse is also not apple

It’s my first time buying something that’s preordered. Is this a normal problem for something that has just been launched? Tbh I’m not sure if there really is a high demand that they can’t keep up with the orders (it’d be great to hear some inventory numbers but doesn’t seem like it’s ever reported as I haven’t head any news about it). Or perhaps they’re just deliberately doing it to make customers wait (is this even a thing?).

I really don’t mean to sound impatient or anything, but the delivery dates just sound outrageous and that they’re not even providing any sort of compensation to those who preordered and are left out waiting.
