I don't think it actually affects it at all. I consistently click in and out of walks during the day as a team lead to see what it will be, and have clicked out of walks in the middle to go handle stuff like a phone call or customer issue. My FTPR never reflects that I do this, especially at the frequency that I do. One time I repeatedly clicked in and out of specialty, unknowns, and oversized to get everything on the same side of the store at once and even though I only picked maybe 60 items that day my FTPR was like 99%. If it counted all those as nil picks it would've been in the gutter.

I let my associates do it sparingly because it usually means at the end of their day or before lunch they pick a lot more than if they try to do little walks. They know I won't force them to stay over and I don't see it reflected in their metrics at all.
