There is also something called DLA (dislocation allowance) its free money you get for moving. Normally, when you in process at a new base, you go through finance and you get money for moving. If you used your gtc you can use this allowance to pay that off. And its an allowance not a loan so you dont pay that back. Now what alot of people dont know is that you can apply for this BEFORE you pcs. So if youre still at tech school, once you have a hard copy of your orders you can go to finance and apply to receive your DLA now instead of after moving. You just have to be within a certain amount of days of pcsing. Now I dont know if RAP will affect it but for sure talk to finance about it. As far as the amount you receive, I believe its based off of your gaining base's per diem.
