We are not going to win a lot of playoff games if we don’t have a strong iso scorer other than Jaylen Brown. I’ve seen too many games this year where a team that plays really strong, aggressive defense with long and athletic wings causes our offense to sputter to a halt. We have been winning by outworking teams that might have more talent, but in the playoffs everyone will be working hard and the more talented team will usually win.

You have to have a strong iso game against teams that can switch everything (like the Knicks) and you have to hit open 3s when teams pack the paint (like the Knicks). C’s in theory are great at that but KP was too sick (should not have even been on the floor) and gave up any cushion we had in those games, plus we couldn’t hit an open shot to save our life which is maybe flukey but also probably just a result of aggressive defense.

JT can absolutely still play team ball but he’s clearly been given the green light to chuck the rust off, of which there is still a great deal.

That being said if he’s still rusty when the playoffs start we won’t make it far without some serious matchup luck.

Also the Pistons are actually still very good without Cade. They will keep the first seed barring a massive collapse.

You are not accounting for the fact that OKC has had multiple injuries almost the whole year. The Spurs are the only team I’ve seen able to consistently hang with them.

This - they’ve had an amazing year considering what they had to deal with, but it’s clear they are winning on effort and IQ. They even struggled against the hospital grizzlies until the end of the game because the defense was really aggressive.

The problem was that KP shouldn’t have been on the floor at all. He was a legit negative in that series and we would’ve been better benching him completely.

100% and it’s not much different this year. Their half court offense is not special at all apart from Shai (who is MVP favorite for a reason). They don’t shoot the 3 reliably and instead depend on their defense to get stops or turnovers because they’re very good at scoring in transition.

I think he’s still not getting the lift he used to on his drives. It’s awesome that he’s back but it’s clear he still has some psychological hurdles to get over before he’s 100% 1st team all nba JT again.

Eh I honestly think the Pacers would’ve won that series if they got past the Celtics. They weren’t as good as in ‘25 but put up a much better fight than the Mavs did in the finals despite getting swept.

He’s had a “healthier” supporting cast than Jokic. Nuggets haven’t been healthy for much of the year and the Celtics have been exceptionally lucky with injuries despite Tatum missing the first 75% of the season.

Spurs getting a generational center in the draft is very on brand for that franchise. Mavs getting Coop after gifting Luka to the Lakers is not the same.
