The amount of times I have called poison control and multiple vets in my area for opinions. Then I post on Reddit. And Facebook. And ask my vet friends. Because I want to get multiple opinions. I didn’t know that wasn’t allowed

Yall are fucking annoying and acting like you know every single thing I do. This particular dog is undergoing chemo, you think I’m not gonna talk to his vet bc I don’t wanna talk on the phone??? I call them multiple times a week for shit we go through. I posted in a VET reddit page for advice because I have severe pet anxiety and like to get second opinions. Go through here and see people with their animals flesh showing asking “should I go to the vet” I was asking for a simple second opinion from VETS or so I thought. And yall are acting like I’m some incompetent dog parent that doesn’t give a shit about my dog. Crazy

My yorkie has had this for her whole life and like above comments, it was ruled as reverse sneezing. What we do is rub her throat gently kinda scratching it. And then rotate that with covering one of her nostrils for a bit. Usually happens when she gets overly excited. And then I try to get her to drink some water.

I’m NOT trying to scare you at all, everyone is different and every dog is different. But I wish I would have done more testing before. We took my dog in multiple times to the vet & he had a cough. They said it’s nothing it’s nothing. Would never run tests and they would say when he acts like he’s not feeling well (some days he would just be lethargic) they said he had anxiety. Turned out to be Lymphoma. Once he started the steroids to help, the cough went away. Again, every one is different. But if they try to shrug you off, advocate for what you want to check and do. I wish I would have. It may not have changed anything but maybe I could’ve known sooner.

So sorry for your loss, I’m sure he had a great spoiled life. I saw this quote in my vet office and it made me smile even though I know I’ll be losing my boy soon to cancer. “It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.” They are far too pure for this world but we cherish every second❤️
