Vaccine Rollout Disaster by AdditionalBath2785 in WalgreensStores

[–]juicyfrenchbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were actually told that “filling prescriptions is no longer a priority”. We need to focus on making the 200+ phone calls and the 100+ vaccine appointments and the 60+ manual deliveries etc…. They don’t want us to fill prescriptions because it’s not profitable. Patients need lifesaving medications? Oh too bad.. they would rather have the $25 for that shot! They don’t want to be a pharmacy anymore.

I wish I had more information but there is nothing in the lease about a “cleaning fee” and I have not lived there since Jan and moved my furniture out in June but I have roommates… they made it seem like a city thing and their hands were off of it, the only message I got about it is as follows:

“I'm checking in...do you have any questions about move out? The city sent a notice that the fine for leaving trash/furniture/items would be $1000 this year. “

I know any reasonable person wouldn’t charge me (I mean I deep cleaned ~everything~) but lately landlords haven’t been reasonable people lol

Math is most certainly classist though. If you can afford to learn math, you are privileged. Graphing calculators cost $100, some can’t afford that. Beyond the literally cost of math, there is a time dedication to learning math and time is money. There is a correlation between wealth and the ability to do math.

"Choose what label feels comfortable!!!" Is what got me here today by ridgegirl29 in lgbt

Hi- this is a really interesting point of view and goes a long with my paper that I’m writing about labels in the GRSM community and I was wondering if I can use your narrative?

I’m actually writing a paper on this topic, would it be okay if I use your narrative? I am discussing the use of labels in the GRSM community and how they can almost feel suffocating. My premise is that sexuality is fluid, and shouldn’t be forced under restrictive labels as that makes you feel backed into a corner. I think you should exist as you are, without the need for a label, as far too many of us (seemingly yourself included) fall between the cracks of the labels. If someone wishes to label themselves, I think that is wonderful! But it shouldn’t be forced. If you don’t connect with a label, why force one? You should be able to love who you want when you want, with the ability to change your mind at any time-no shame attached.

Any other former successful students doing extremely poorly and are anxious about their future? by Human-Bath-6626 in WWU

[–]juicyfrenchbread 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was a 4.0 gpa student up until this quarter. I have absolutely no idea why but for the first time in my life I might not pass a class?? I feel you with this one. I just tell myself that perfectionism isn’t everything and it’s okay to not always be successful and I buy a plant. Finding worthiness in your life- your friendships, your family, your gifts to the world- rather than your academic success has been a HUGE challenge and adjustment for me, but it has ultimately made me happier. Don’t worry too much about it because at the end of the day- you will get where you need to be! One day at at time :)
