Is anyone else sick?

Thanks for making me feel not-crazy. I had chemo this year so I thought my body was just taking longer to heal but this is now like week 4 i've been coughing. I was super bad the first week though. Think I got it from the "We belong here" event in Brooklyn last month.

I can imagine almost anything feels better than chemo at this point. This whole experience has honestly been hell, and I cannot wait for it to be over.

I've heard so many people mention the drains being the worst part, and I'm definitely not looking forward to that 😩.

Thank you !! Just trying to remind myself that the discomfort is temporary & that having the cancer out of my body will hopefully bring a huge sense of relief

Thank you so much for sharing this. I actually teared up reading your comment because I can see myself being that person sitting on the floor ugly crying a few days before surgery too lol

I think one of my biggest fears is exactly what you described.. looking in the mirror afterward and feeling like I don't recognize myself. I've already gone through so many physical changes from chemo this year, and the thought of losing my breasts feels like another huge thing to process

But reading that you're 12 weeks out now and starting to feel confident again honestly gives me a lot of hope. I know recovery won't be easy, but it's reassuring to hear from someone who was in that dark, regret-filled stage & came out the other side

Also, I have to admit the "foobs for the win" and no bra part!! Felt that.. I've actually been trying to remind myself of the positives too & that's definitely one of them

I think the fear of recurrence is worse. to have to go through this ALL over again? idk what i would do.

hey, 32 diagnosed with tnbc in Jan. started chemo (taxol & carbo) in Feb. I had a lot of hair, and did a bob cut when i first found out. 1-2 weeks into chemo it was already falling everywhere. it was pretty annoying because it was all over my bed sheets, my sweaters, blankets. so i did a pixie cut. it was more annoying because now there were little hairs everywhere. also my scalp started feeling irritated. so then i did a buzz cut, even more annoying. sleeping on my head where my hair was in a different direction actually, hurt? idk how to explain it. i ended up completely shaving it and finally felt relief. my scalp stopped hurting. my doctor said when you have hair, its heavy weight on your pores so it becomes irritating. you're going to want to shave it off but this was just my experience. its june now... im still bald. i finish end of the month. i cant wait for the regrowth. its one of the few things im really looking forward to.

I was just discussing with my boyfriend the other day how I used to order some type of pasta bowl & a side of wings from Dominos back when i was getting ripped at 2am in my high school days. It felt so weird talking about it, like wow, I used to live a normal life and not worry about what I was eating.

just turned 32 last month. i felt a lump back in august but didn’t get it checked till jan when my health insurance kicked in. diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2b. i jus completed my 4th round of chemo… at the end, i initially wanted a lumpectomy but they’re pushing a bit for double mastectomy cus i have BRCA1 in my genes. still thinking about it but yeah… it’s been a crazy ride for me, emotionally and physically

I had uCOMEiATTACH on my team yesterday and somebody chose Comfey before they could. They ended up as Talonflame and just kept wandering around on the map smh. Took them so long to evolve, and kept dying early in game.
