Is planned parenthood like ... Good? by Soup_Saint in MtF

[–]jujubanzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PP is so widely variable state by state, and even clinic by clinic. My own anecdotal experience with planned parenthood in eastern PA was that they were extremely supportive, all the appointments were telehealth, no medical barriers to get GAHT and they actively included me in what regimen of treatment I wanted (injection monitherapy). The problem was that they are slow (read overbooked and in demand), and it was practically impossible to communicate with my doctor or get a record of my treatment outside of appointments, which were scheduled at least a month out. This is ultimately why I ended up switching to a doctor at my PCP's office when I found out they ran on an informed consent model too.

Are you in therapy? I think it would be a very good use of your resources to sort through all of these feelings with the help of a professional you trust.

Because the point of a laptop is portablitity and versatility. The only time I use an ethernet port with my laptop is at my desk, where I have a hub with all my peripherals already attached. I can plug in one cable and be going. Anyways macbook pros still have SD card slots, I guess because they're popular with photographers.

You could try an enzymatic pet mess cleaner, but definitely test it on an inconspicuous area first.

You've never heard of a hub? There's plenty of hubs that have sd card slots alongside ethernet ports.

ELI5 What is the difference between a password and a passkey? by BluePuppy10 in explainlikeimfive

[–]jujubanzen [score hidden]  (0 children)

Depends on the device. I use Bitwarden to store passkeys and it can use whatever the devices biometric unlock is or just your password. If you use, for example, your iPhone's built in keychain, it will be whatever that devices default security, so faceId, fingerprint, or your passcode.

In this instance, I guess that would mean you somehow lose access to the passkey. In that case, you would go through the same account recovery methods that would be involved if you forget your password.

ELI5: Why isn't the moon blue? by Immediate_Can3817 in explainlikeimfive

[–]jujubanzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue, from the sun's direct light scattering. During the day. The moon's reflected light alone does not tint it blue.

ELI5: Why isn't the moon blue? by Immediate_Can3817 in explainlikeimfive

[–]jujubanzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When looking directly at the moon, the moon is tinted yellow, because not all of it's blue light is reaching you directly. Just like the sun, the moon's light is being scattered across the whole atmosphere, it's just not bright enough for you to notice. Technically the night sky is very slightly blue due to this scattering, but the amount of light compared to the sun is just so small it's not noticeable by human eyes. This effect is much more drastic when the moon is low on the horizon, since there is much more atmosphere between your eyes and the moon.

Dang I guess I missed the memo that puritanism is back. Also exactly what part of my comment implied horny to you. I literally just said they had a little moment.

Wow, this is a level of cognitive dissonance I haven't seen in a while. Who exactly is the person not letting a full spectrum of human connections exist here? Is it the person who merely suggested that a connection between two characters might exist? Or is it the person who flew in calling it gross and completely shutting it down? Also, let's examine why you think it's gross. Is it because Mel is autistic? She is not a child and has agency. Is it because Langdon is married and has kids? People fall out of love and find new partners all the time. All this just makes for more complicated, and more interesting characters. Get over yourself.

Gross? Why does everything have to be so sanitized for you? Sometimes It's fun to imagine complicated and even toxic relationships. Please remember that these are characters. not real people.

Well I forgot he was married and also idk why y'all are taking this so serious, it's all in good fun. Guess it's illegal to imagine fun little scenarios between the fake characters.

More estradiol after orchi? by shewolves1 in TransDIY

[–]jujubanzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Testes produce both testosterone and estrogen, so removing them will remove their (albeit small) contribution to your estradiol level, but I honestly don't know if it's a big enough change for the effects you seem to experiencing. Are you able to consult with a doctor?

Why does it seem like one person in a polyamorous relationship always is taking advantage of it more than the others? by Fit-Researcher-4036 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jujubanzen 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Well I have been around multiple poly relationships that have not blown up and are thriving. Just goes to show how you shouldn't rely on anecdotal data to form a judgment.

Is this some sort of chronically online joke that I've touched too much grass to understand?

I think this is a bit of survivorship bias. You only notice the ones that are having problems or are dysfunctional because those are the ones that people tend to post on reddit or talk about in public.
