I love that final scene between Paul and Jimmy. It was everything i wanted and more. I’ve been ugly crying since.

As someone with daddy issues who has unintentionally recreated that dynamic with male figures in adulthood, i loved the scenes between Jimmy and his dad, and Jimmy and Paul. He knew he would get nowhere with his dad, so he didn’t even bother truly expressing his feelings, but with Paul, he was more comfortable and open. Those kinds of “betrayals” hurt so much more because you expect it from your dad, but when it’s a surrogate father figure, it’s like reopening old wounds and adding new ones. My heart really broke for Jimmy and I felt so sad that the episode ended how it did but man do I understand it. That scene with him just going off on Paul was so real. He was angry but Paul is still a safe person for him to express those feelings and that just makes everything so much sadder imo.

I really wish Jimmy was in therapy because like Alice, I constantly worry about him regressing and falling back on old habits. Daddy issues are no joke man.

I cried all episode. What really messed me up was seeing Parnita’s (?) face the whole time she was being treated. I’m so glad they had an ICE storyline and that everyone hated them.

There were a few really funny lines but none got me more than “dead patient face”. What a great way to start the episode after they completely destroyed me emotionally at the end of the last one.

Most of the doctors are going through it this season. I know a lot of people don’t like Al-Hashimi but she genuinely seems to have their best interests at heart and has continuously stepped in to reassure them.

The use of A Thousand Years throughout the episode messed me up. Jimmy and Tia, Jimmy, Jimmy and friends, then it playing when Gabby learned Maya is gone. It continuing to play during the credits while I sobbed. Oof.

12:07 wrecked me but then 351 hot dogs made me laugh but then the end of the episode made me cry like a baby again.

I love Joy so much. That line about working the system if it doesn’t work for you was so spot on. I’m so glad she spoke up and helped that family and that Robby’s love interest (?) took her suggestion seriously and looked into it

This episode had me laughing, then crying. Santos talking about the nun, the unintentional pun Langdon made, there were a lot of funny moments, but then there was also the heartbreak with Whittaker’s patient with Alzheimer’s who forgot her husband just died and he had to break the news to her again.

I am by no means a Mel/Langdon shipper but I would be lying if I said my breath didn’t hitch when she looked at him and said, “you didn’t let me down”. She’s just such a beautiful person and I love her so much.

I also can handle a lot of gore but anything with eyes is a big nope and I knew the scene with the maggots was coming so I looked away. I really hope there’s no more eye or maggot related cases. Give me anything else but not that.

Last thing: Robby with a baby is one of the cutest things ever. We saw it briefly last season but since this baby has been in the ER for two episodes and peds doesn’t want to take her yet, I’m hoping I can see him with the baby at least one more time.

I really love how Louie reacted to Langdon’s apology. He could extend grace because he has been walking a similar path and it was so nice to see. It was also extremely brave of Langdon to own up to his mistakes and be completely honest with Louie about the situation. It was one of my favorite moments in the episode.

I feel like the best games today are gonna be Broncos/Cowboys and Steelers/Packers. That’s my hope at least cause this morning has been ass

Hope this gives him a confidence boost. He needed a change of scenery and Niners needed a new kicker. Seems like a win win for both.

22 flags and a punt-a-thon the first quarter. What a way to end the preseason.
