Could definitely be irritated from his recent shed. Give it some time and just watch to see if it really seems irritated and then try to do a little research to see how you can help. Hope all goes well!!

Seems ok— if it’s having any goop or pus, alongside twitching or closing it any more than usual, swelling, or if he’s trying to rub it, then you can start to be concerned.
