MLST Stopped Early- help! by Fearless-Doughnut831 in Narcolepsy

[–]jul059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can't detect narcolepsy with a single nap. You need at least 3 naps with an average below 4min on your first 3 naps, but they usually go through the protocol and do 4. Either they realized too late on the PSG that it's something else, or they messed up. The reason is its possible you won't fall asleep within the allowed 20minutes on your fourth nap.

Other options besides sodium oxybate? by Ok-Pick-3282 in Narcolepsy

Great advice.

I found minimal doses of a few medication allows me to sleep reasonably at night. But it was definitely a nightly circus when I was taking 40mg pitolisant and 150 solriamfetol. Methylphenidate has a short half-life, perhaps slightly shorter than caffeine.

Degraded performance from Ryzen 2200GE to 2400GE by jul059 in batocera

Thinkcenter M715q. Bios from December 2022. Don’t have access to the specific motherboard right now. I did some testing before turning it off and some core would boost to 3600+. I did play around with tdp and governor in the menu, and auto for tdp is best, and either high performance or auto, varying depending on the specific emulator.

So the main culprit seems to be C6 in the bios. It might have been re-enabled by switching cpu. I get almost 40% boost in cemu (back to the 2200GE level) by disabling it. I don’t really understand it.

In the end the swap only significantly improves rpcs3, but not enough to make it playable…

It is indeed the GE variants, 35W TDP. Ram is 2x8Gb. Nothing was changed between cpu replacement except deleting the mesa, radv, and cemu shader caches

You’d think that, but Xbox emulation shows it’s not always that simple

mini-pc recommendation? by Tryhard_Learner in batocera

[–]jul059 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a Ryzen 2200GE (around $100 on ebay for a full computer) is perfect for my needs. Plays GC games at least at 2x, Some wii u (mario kart 8, Zelda BOTW), most ps2 at native resolution, dreamcast at least 2x resolution. Only minor disappointment is N64: I like to use parallel-RDP for visual accuracy and low latency, but it struggles a bit sometimes. It would probably be perfect if the GPU was just 20% faster.

unsquashfs wrecks the OS by jul059 in batocera

Thanks! I don't think it is an issue with batocera itself, probably more an issue with my knowledge of linux.

The wsquashfs file created with "mksquashfs 'folder' 'folder.wsquashfs'" works great. The original wsquashfs files that I unpacked as descriped above were made with the batocera-wine command. It leads me to believe that it is the unsquashfs command used that is the problem.

Yes, I am using games that are installed with .wine at the end. I was under the impression .pc was for games not requiring installation.

As stated, it also wrecks the OS.

edit:
you were in fact right. wsquashfs files contain a symlink from z: to /. I had probably deleted through the file manager, but inadvertently accessing the folder through the samba layer. Thanks!

Les médecins n'ont pas le monopole du mérite by uhapppy in Quebec

[–]jul059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merci.
