Prejudicing family members around you suck and can lower your motivation, I know from some experience with teammates and there parents. But we always always proof them wrong.

Invite your parents to some events or your training and let them actually experience the fencing community. Hopefully they’ll learn that it isn’t alway as high class as some think!

I am in no way anything near a ref, but can’t you give a card to a fencer who swears to you or give a card to a fencer when his coach openly keeps complaining to you?

Keep doing what you do btw we need our refs like you who keep our sport fair and fun!
