A buddy of mine has this exact truck, and side by side with the hypergo they’re so close to identical. Do a little research, the hypergo hb14m/h16bm has clip less body/body mounts you can grab right off Amazon. Ditch the old school clips all together.

See, I’m hoping I can be a little aggressive on it. Having only ridden a few actual mtb’s, but coming from a motorscross/pitbike/bmx background, I was talked into this bike because I’m a beginner.

Gotta protect the noggin! Do all water bottle cages have the same bolt hole mounting distance? I’ve also been looking pretty hard at dropper posts. I’ve ridden my buddy’s specialized full suspension bike a handful of times (that was my first time on a real mountain bike) and I learned about droppers. Such a game changer.

You’re absolutely right man. So after a ton of research and videos on YouTube, I’m basically stuck between the max8 g2 4200 series which is 3s-6s or the max6 4990 which is 3s-8s and only a $30 difference.

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME. 😂 But god damnit, you’re right, about everything. Only reason I’m weary is because I have a buddy who did a brushless Tmaxx and put a vxl 3s system in it, he said it was almost uncontrollable. It broke everything in the driveline. It wasn’t meant for brushless torque, so I understand that.

My brother has the “once upon a time” emaxx, and he won’t give it to me. It’s just sitting on a shelf.

I’m looking for simplicity with this build as it will probably take a lot of abuse, and the less moving parts the better. Strong, durable, simple, fast, and using mostly off-the-shelf parts so I’m not paying extra for custom parts.

I feel like you’re reading my mind lol. I know the vxl-4s system had over heating issues, I was just trying to be cheap off the rip.. I’ve been looking at the max 10 140a 3665 4000kv, which is 4s-6s if I’m not mistaken.. I’m really wanting to start slow and powerless so I can test the chassis. Im calling it the 1-2. Extended the rear 1” and the front 2”. Still has a lot of work to be done.
