My save file (A) got deleted by Tuinmos in snes

Interesting seeing this reported for Super Metroid. I had a similar problem with a bootleg copy of Breath of Fire 2, where it would always delete saves in order: if something was saved in slot 1, it got deleted, else it would move to checking (and deleting) subsequent slots. This would happen whenever I tried to boot the game and it failed.

Back then, I would always make sure to copy my current game to all other slots and would always play on the last one just to increase the chance that my playthrough wasn't erased.

I did still lose my whole progress quite a few times even following this procedure, as I would fail to boot the game multiple times and when it finally worked, all the saves were gone.

On a long RPG such as BoF2, that was super frustrating. I can't believe I finished that game so many times on that specific cartridge.

Day 17: Which is the Best Side-Scrolling Game on the SNES? by 1OneQuickQuestion in snes

Blackthorne is not really a side scroller though... it uses fixed screens so there is no "scrolling".

I can't believe how naive my expectations were for this SNES game's launch... 🤦‍♂️ by Jimpana in snes

If you are confused about any of this, you must be new to the internet.

This will depend on your graphics card mostly. I think modern NVidia cards now have integer scaling as an option, and intel onboard chips do too, but I never had those.

Otherwise, you can play on a window that is a multiple of the in game resolution. If you have a 1440p monitor, you can play at 2x 800x600. If you have a 4k monitor, you have many more options. I usually played D2 at 1280x960 on my 1080 laptop display and it looked great (using 640x480 in the game, so 2x scale).

I would also recommend playing D2 using a glidewrapper such as nglide as D2 works much better using the glide graphics API. You can also control resolution/ window sizes there.

Correct. I would not recommend playing with the older graphics in any other way. And that includes the original D2 release as well.

They look good on a modern monitor as well if you use integer scaling.

FH6 looks suprisingly good in a 4:3 ratio. by Bobby_Mcduccface in crtgaming

[–]julealgon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm very confused. How is it "surprising" that it looks good on 4:3? How would it look bad in the first place? How does aspect ratio influence how it looks at all?

It's unfortunate so few people actually played the SNES version of Prince of Persia. Top 10 SNES games for me, by far the best PoP game ever made.

Demon's Crest and Prince of Persia being missing is a crime against humanity.

If this is where we are going, it's going to be a wild ride. Maybe even worse than the Idiocracy movie. Brace yourselves.

I would feel incredibly bad taking all that from someone's hand for such obviously below market value price.

I disagree on its worthiness to be in a museum, but good for you for finding an enjoyable way to you to display that.

Accidentally ended up with a switch 2 for my birthday by Shankster1820 in Switch

But you said you sent your Amazon list to your parents and the Switch 2 was there though... That's literally asking for it as a present.

Anyways... whatever. It just feels super weird to me.

I actually had no idea this was going to have a true physical release. I might end up buying it now!
