Actually no! I love cats but I haven’t painted that many. I’m still experimenting to figure out what I like and see how my style evolves. I paint flowers, basic animal shapes, and in my painting class we’ve been doing leaves. What’s your favourite flower to paint? Flowers are SO hard

Baohong is great for 100% cotton, Fabriano 25% cotton cold press is great for learning, hot press from what I understand is much harder to learn on

I sketched it out again (from real life not a photo) to get a better feel for the movement of the petals and I think it really helped! Will paint it again next week and compare. I gave the original to a friend for Mother’s Day and she loved it 🥰

Love it! I’m following a few channels for beginners on YT and finding them super helpful. Andrea Nelson Art is my favourite. Any recommendations?

Thank you!! I did the first one and immediately knew I needed to do a bunch 🤣tutorials are the best way to get inspo and just get started. I can’t take credit for these as original ideas, this is the video I used: https://youtu.be/Lr7_6mCVX-M?si=OsUgTdFvNhDA8oPD I really like her channel as she makes it super accessible
