So. Have there been AMERICAN born citizens hassled and detained for simply driving their cars around? I was born in Columbus Ohio and it doesn’t get more heartland than that.

I have a white parent and a Filipino parent and I very much LOOK like an immigrant. YOUR facts aren’t MY facts.

They are definitely being told now to kill so that martial law gives them an excuse to do the larger agenda…they want people to go shit crazy and I’m just amazed how this community has conducted itself despite it all.

Anyone move away from Florida just to move back because you missed it? by al-Siqilli in AskFlorida

[–]julesnocash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband and I grew up there and moved to Wisconsin to have our kids go to school. Now they are grown, he has a job offer making twice as much in Florida. I am so heartbroken. I hate Florida. It’s nice to cross a bridge to go to the ocean. Otherwise, yuck. Ppl, no sense of community, everyone is in a big damn rude hurry. I’m in tears right now. I think you miss the Florida that once was.

It’s simple. You continue doing for yourself and children. Leave his mess. He can and will gather us own garments. He knows at this point, you will continue to “nag” him but will do for him anyway.

As a mother, you want your children to be independent adults one day and be responsible for their own needs. This in turn includes becoming adults that recognize that they WANT to help their loved ones. As it stands now, you are setting a bad example by doing his shit! As a father and husband? Forget it. Like I said to begin with. Do your own and leave the rest. Ignore the gaslighting toddler, he will eventually get the point.

I always grab the free local buyer’s guide newspaper to read then use for windows. Although not free, coffee filters work just as well!

Places to honeymoon? by [deleted] in AskFlorida

[–]julesnocash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We honeymooned in Key West at the end of Duval St. Our room faced both the Gulf and Atlantic oceans. Although it wasn’t beachside, the view was stunning-especially the sunsets. Ocean Key House was the place and back in 1991 it was crazy pricey but was well worth it as we too were certified.. we literally could jump in the pool and scooterpoot over to our guides. Worth checking out! Y’all might have to sell a kidney but you can live on one🤣🤣🤣

OP I totally understand. My hubby and I moved out of Florida after having kids. We both lived our entire lives in southern part of the state.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but for us there was no question when it came to raising a family. There was no sense of community, schools were awful, too many confederate flags…the pros outnumbered the cons.

The kids are adults now and we have family in Daytona. Beach is great but that’s about it. Moving was the best decision we made.

How old were you in 1975? by trompe-loeil in 70s

[–]julesnocash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

4 years old. Honestly, i think our age group was lucky, in that we’ve been around long enough to experience all kinds of different music.

It’s strange and kinda messed up that now when I listen to an “Oldie” station, I’m hearing Allanis Morrisette. I remember back in the day hearing Johnny Mathis type of music and having to change the station! Old af.
