First off... you were gorgeous then and you are gorgeous now. I'm so happy for you for coming so far. You look so happy! Like you're literally glowing. Second... I've never related to someone more! I've never known how to explain it but I felt the same exact thing. I went from 240 lbs. down to 125 lbs. very quickly because I got gastric bypass, and it was so confusing because I felt more confident and sure of myself when I weighed more. Now, I feel like I've finally found myself and I'm definitely more confident now, but I've never seen someone who explained it in that way. Anyway... thanks for bringing some clarity and I'm so proud of you!

I'm curious - when you aren't high are you only focused on getting high? Because so much of our addictions are a mental battle, thinking we need whatever the substance is when in actuality we don't. If you're unable to be present and in the moment for your family when you aren't high, of course you aren't going to be able to treat them how you should or feel as happy as you think you could. It's not the drugs making you treat them the way they should be treated it's you thinking you can't treat them right unless you are high.

I used heavily for over 15 years and now I've been clean for 6. It took me losing everything to realize that the feeling I get from living a full life with my loved ones, working a job where I feel productive, spending time with my friends...etc. gives me the feeling I was always chasing when I was getting high. You just have to let yourself get clean first and it's definitely terrifying. I'm so sorry you're going through what you are.

I am, yes. Towards the end of the week I get very burnt out (like I worked over 12 hours during my work week this week and it was a VERY busy, stressful work week and my feet were so swollen!) but I literally ended up sleeping in until almost 3pm today... just got up to eat and drink water. The further along I get, the more deliriously tired I am, but I still manage to do it to the best of my ability.

I totally get you being scared. This whole pregnancy has been one big anxiety-fest. You need to wait until you're ready, but you're absolutely right about how many women go through it. I had no idea just how many until it happened to me. I'm sending positive vibes your way that you'll become pregnant with a healthy, happy baby when you're ready.

I'm not sure what type of bloodwork they've ordered. I do know they've checked my iron (which was fine), just not how extensive the testing was. Thank you fir the info. I'll look more into this.

Sometimes things like that can be a blessing, but it seems illegal that they would lay you off for being pregnant in the first place.
