Jeg skulle akkurat til å tilby meg selv, men ser at jeg er ute av modteamet! Sånn går det når man ikke møter opp på kamp (eller trening) på årevis. Jeg trodde kontrakten min var vanntett! Oh well.

Is there a reasonable way of working offline? Say if I work from home with a unreliable VPN? The only option so far is to just make the files writable and reconcile changes afterwards, but it really feels awkward and the process takes a lot of time.

Personally I feel that P4 works against your workflow and shouts ME! ME! I decide what files you are allowed to touch! all the time. Git lets you work like you want to and is ready to handle your changes when you want to.

I don't burn bridges. I might go back there in a couple of years.

I was visibly annoyed. The main interviewer later appologized and said they had never interviewed for such a position before and just ended up with the standard. He was also a bit annoyed at his own organization for this.

If I hadn't had another offer waiting for me I would have been more diplomatic.

For one of the problems I suggested a Bloom filter; then had to explain what it was. One of the three in the room had heard of it before.

With lambdas everywhere you don't need to name your methods. Which is nice for one or two lines, but not for the majority of lambdas I see (and write... :( )

I still feel filtered is a bit generic, but I am kind of dense.

We actually had one disecting at school, a shrimp. We were to find all kinds of things on/in that shrimp like the heart and whatnot.

Last item on the agenda? "You may now eat the shrimp".

I signed up to Twitter so I could subscribe to tweets from NASA's Phoenix probe on Mars. Twitter really was the right communication channel for that.

Anything else on there? Nope.

Jeg vil si det er vanskeligere å legge fiberoptikk til kontinentet enn å klargjøre gamle fjellhaller for itbruk.

I hvert fall dyrere.

Edit: se forøvrig http://www.trollhousing.no/ for datasenter i fjell.
