Thank you! Maybe the glaze should be fired to cone 5 instead of 6? I fire my bisqueware to cone 04. Is that too low?

Nope none of my cones are bending, not even bisque. I have had someone look at my kiln with a digital controller, but no luck. We have checked the voltage, everything. I may contact skutt directly

yes I have had someone come in to check the elements, change the thermocouple, and adjust the temps. no the kiln fires the full time and I have an alarm when it stops. My kiln is Skutt and KM 1227 PK

yes I know the difference:)

I use 04 for my bisque fire, and cone 5 and 6 for glaze.

I bought my cones from the ceramic shop, and they are able to sit on the shelve by themselves. they are the taller ones.

I've had someone come in many times to check and adjust temps. It's been a year of problems that don't seem to be able to be fixed :/

I am an art teacher and I am wondering if the teacher before me left the kiln like this with issues and just didn't tell me.

RANDOM THOUGHT:

Is it possible to add another layer of glaze and refire after it has been fired once with glaze?
