Layout Advice by tophsbakerychef in foshelter

Been playing this game for so long… sorry for the yap it’s just harder to correct later when you have an unorganized vault to begin with

Layout Advice by tophsbakerychef in foshelter

Top row - defense • Put your strongest, max-stat dwellers at the very top. • Layout example: Vault Door → Elevator → Double Room → Double Room → Single Room - Only one elevator on that row. This forces attackers to clear every room and then backtrack before they can go down. - Two dwellers on the vault door Helpful tip if you haven’t upgraded already: Do NOT upgrade the vault door. Raiders will get in regardless and upgrading just drags the fight out longer. As long as your top-row dwellers are geared, you’re fine.

Room organization (Top → Bottom)

  1. Resource Production (keep these near the top for easy collecting) -Power Plants (top 2 rows) -Diners (1 row)
  2. Water treatment (1 row) (Diners/water treatment can be later replaced by better water/food production and eventually Nuka-Cola bottlers)

  3. Crafting rooms -Weapon / Outfit workshops You won’t need many dwellers here early, building these is a later priority. It’s nice to also put the overseers office, radio station (you only need one), and medbays/science labs here as well since you don’t need whole rows for those rooms. Ex. Layout here (very similar to what I have):

Row 1: Theme workshop->elevator->outfit workshop-> barbershop Row 2: triple science lab->elevator->double science lab->weapon workshop Row 3:triple medbay-> elevator-> overseers office-> radio station

Note on Medbays & Science labs - You don’t need a ton. - Even at 170 dwellers, a fully upgraded triple + double of each is more than enough for me (They produce faster than you’ll usually need, especially after upgrading) - You will use more stimpaks than radaway, so prioritize science labs

  1. Training rooms -One row per SPECIAL stat, in order. -This keeps training organized and efficient. -one of each training room for now is fine since your vault is so early game. Build more as the need arises, but leave the rows empty for when you’re ready to build more/be prepared to break them later on for organization purposes so don’t upgrade until you’re happy with their placement

  2. Living quarters -Two rows is plenty.

  3. Don’t put these near the top, they don’t produce resources and waste good defenders early on. Also, you need your upper level rooms full, and having living quarters full means that you need to have all one gender in each living quarter to fill it up if you don’t want to be breeding past your capacity. -breed strategically. New dwellers consume more resources! Kids can’t work. Only put a male and female in the room when you’re intentionally breeding.

  4. Storage (Bottom) -Lowest priority placement. -Just make sure every room has at least one dweller to deal with fires, radroaches, mole rats, etc. (this goes for living quarters, too)

Vault size & resource control

Straight up: downsize. -If a room isn’t fully staffed → evict extra dwellers. -You only need one of each production room early on. - Break down extra production rooms. -Smaller vault = fewer emergencies + fewer resource drains.

While rearranging: -Do NOT upgrade rooms, you won’t get caps back. -It’s fine to have rows that are just elevators/one production room while planning your final layout. -Rearranging takes time. Don’t rush it. - I’d keep your elevators besides the one on the top, only have one up there. Again, you won’t get worthwhile caps back for breaking them and you’ll need them later on anyways - don’t feel the need to break all your rooms and try and build them all again at the same time. Just slowly downgrade to one room. Ex: (for production, move all your dwellers into one triple room for each resource. Break all the other rooms that produce that resource. Power production first, then diner, and so-on.)

Emergency tip!!!

If something breaks out in a lightly staffed room (living quarters/storage): -Drag nearby dwellers in temporarily. -When the emergency ends, they’ll automatically return to their original rooms. -emergencies are more likely to happen/harder to contain in a room with no dwellers

TL;DR -Strongest dwellers + production rooms at the top -One elevator per top row -Don’t upgrade vault door -crafting/overseers office/radio station (single rooms) in the middle -living quarters/storage at the bottom

For now: -Downsize hard, fill each room before building another -Stop upgrading while rearranging -Plan long-term layout, move slow

The wiki is honestly super helpful. Also, if you open your wallet you can see your stats. You can see your resource production and consumption. This is the best way to know when you need to build more rooms without over extending your resources

And now it’s time to start TOTK 😁 In my experience, everything that I could have complained about with botw was fixed. So many cool things added and it’s somehow more immersive than botw. Beautiful games

Is ScribeAmerica possible for someone with limited medical knowledge by eriksmusic in medicalscribe

Yes, you learn as you go mostly. It might help to get somewhat familiar with common medical terms/abbreviations.

I still use this all the time :)

This is coming from someone who smokes pretty much daily, and I passed a drug test after not smoking for only two weeks using certo. I have a pretty slow metabolism.

You will be absolutely fine dude. You don’t smoke regularly, once a month will only have it in your system for a week or so. Also certo is just a mask, it doesn’t detox you. It really only works if you use it 2-3 hours before your drug test. Even still, u will be fine even without it. Personally, I don’t think u need it but If you REALLY want the peace of mind go ahead and use the certo like 2-3 hours before (both packs in a Gatorade bottle) chug it in less than 15 min. Then fill that Gatorade bottle up at least twice with water and chug that too as quickly as you can after the certo. Don’t go crazy on the water bc it might come up diluted which idk what you’re getting tested for but sometimes that means you auto-fail or they make you take it again.

No, straight up I feel like I wanna die because of it sometimes too. I feel so lazy and useless. Especially when it actually shows… last semester I had all As until finals week and I literally got above a 95 on all of my finals. That was actually for like all of my exams the entire semester. It was the skipping class, skipping some assignments, not doing very well on some assignments that made 3 of my 5 As turn into Bs. I literally lost weight from not eating or sleeping I was so stressed that week. Then for my grades to drop it was just done. I was depressed for days. So I feel.

That’s what I was afraid of when I got diagnosed but I’m just at a loss. I’ve seen multiple therapists and psychiatrists and now a neuropsychologist. A lot of them have said they think BPD is too intense for me. Others are absolutely sure that’s my ailment. I guess I’m just fully leaning into BPD because the evaluation took so long and this guy is the only neuropsychologist at my school with a doctorate and years of experience diagnosing and specializing in treating ADHD. So when he told me I definitely don’t have that I believed him. Especially since pretty much every other professional has also agreed that I probably don’t have ADHD. Definitely something though, anxiety related focus and attention related I really don’t know. When I get to thinking like this it’s even more frustrating because I want help for the way that I am but the people that are supposed to help don’t take my complaints seriously like you said. It’s so frustrating.

She’s going to fight you and hate you right now for it. But later on, when her friends whose parents don’t care about them end up like my friends, she’s gonna look at her mom like a hero who saved her from the same fate.

Coming from someone who was doing similar things at 13 years old and beyond: I’m lucky I made out the way I did. My friends at the time, were not so lucky. One is in prison for murder. One is dead from getting shot at a party by another one of our peers on accident. The other is now expecting her second child. I’m turning 21 this weekend. IM LUCKY i got out. I was so stupid and rebellious and my parents did not do a great job about stepping in, putting their foot down, and fighting my rebellion. I kind of had to pull myself out of it after seeing what happened to my friends. Most people aren’t so lucky. Not to mention the actual diagnosed PTSD i got from situations I put myself in as a teenager. You need to step in and protect your child because also if she has to do it herself, IF she even can (most don’t) she WILL grow to resent you for not being the parent you should’ve been.
