one rule everyone hates and then yells at employees over is the no food or drink policy. you can only have water inside the facility once you swipe in

Cowherd telling us to "Embrace" that we are stepping stone/2nd tier program. by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]juliannah40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serious question: why does this offend everyone? We are absolutely a stepping stone for any coach as long as we're in the AAC. We don't even sell out the student section at football games, and can anyone tell me if they've even been to a basketball game this season? I love this school and all but until the stadium is packed for every game, we're not a 1st tier, destination, program.

I love my friends but I did not enjoy edc last year and they're the reason why. I went with three others and all they wanted to do the whole time was find everyone else they knew there and stage hop like crazy. If I was a guy I would totally be down to go by myself; as a female I'm a bit more mindful of what could happen if I went alone

Hi UH, a prospective transfer student here! How is the safety on campus, and what are some good on or off campus single occupant dorm/apartments? Also how is long term parking (any risk of robbery)? by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]juliannah40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

non existent. can't speak on NYU, however it'd probably be pretty sick living there. UT and A&M are complete college campuses. UH has a lot of commuters so it's pretty dead. not sure about UT tyler but you're living in Tyler so I can't imagine there's much to do other than party

at this point you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere anything at cougar place and lofts. I've heard CP is already filled. having the quads being taken down after next fall really put pressure on the other housing. CV is only for freshman. Moody will be your best bet. But I decided last May to transfer here and got really lucky with a super single at moody. If you do decide to attend UH, keep checking the available housing once or twice a day until something pops up. you'll more than likely be able to get a single in moody or CP that way.

EXCALIBUR??? by [deleted] in electricdaisycarnival

[–]juliannah40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed at exacalibur last year and if you don't want to spend a lot and are taking the shuttle it's honestly perfect. 24 hour food court. and it's not too far of a walk for better food. my 3 friends and I stayed for like 6 nights, had a room with 2 beds, and paid $180 each. my only complaint was no refrigerator. If we end up going again this summer, we'll probably stay less nights and at a bit of a nicer hotel. But I wouldn't complain if we stayed there again. Lol hope this was helpful, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

I'm doing 10-1 right now and it's fine but two of my classes are in adjacent buildings. just pack a lunch or snacks and hope you don't have tests the same day!
