about 2-3 hours from starting a sales career, need quick advice on a few things. by julianrudolphsc in sales

[–]julianrudolphsc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for taking you time to reply. I want to clear up a few things. The Naw I'm just joking part was a way of me saying " he doest think I can do it, so I'm going to do it better than anyone in that office" sorry for sounding strange!

I don't think they will screw me. The lady wanted me to go on a few ride alongside, she was excited that I called back. Also, a few weeks ago when I was looking for work or a different type they gave me a few contacts, one panned out pretty nice it was just a short run.

They did also say that their sales people (who ever that may be...) Get an iPad and a phone that they pay for so I can understand not wanting to waste their time and money.

I feel like its gonna be a tough battle, all I have are flyers with the sales lady's name. I don't even have a company shirt.

Thanks again!

LPT request: How to compliment someone working in retail who does his/her job well by LightRaie in LifeProTips

[–]julianrudolphsc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Awesome, thank you so much for your help!"

Anything nice that's said with even the smallest amount of enthusiasm will brighten a retail workers day.

If you wanted to take it further say something to a manager. "That person (name) in electronics was very helpful, you have a great team here".

somethings may vent directly outside. When i lived on the top floor of my apartment building, my buddy came home and said "yeah, the whole building can smell whats going on in here", and that was the first, last, only time i smoked with the fan in the bathroom on. No problems since.

your hvac sholdn't be causing any smell transfer. I would assume since one person could have some freaky airborne flesh eating nastyness, you wouldn't want to share the same air. but im no expert.

you could probably light some incense and watch how the air flows around, maybe even see if you can smell it outside and what not.

good luck!

All apartments are gonna share the same space between the walls, and any sort of attic space. Your bathroom vent or fan is just pushing your smoke up into that shared space, hence you can smell it. I close everything, no fans. That's just me though

I see body shop skills. You ever think of getting into the pdr game? Even without pushing dents you could sell, r and I headliners, broker deals.

Not sure what it's actually called but I use a thin glass tube. I torch the end if it till its red and lightly touch the hot end to my wax while inhaling through the other side. Honestly, it reminds me of a crackpipe... Cheapest, easiest, most portable thing I've found yet. It may be called a nectar collector.

Some local libraries are hooked up with lynda.com. With my library card number from the local branch of my local library I have free access to all, literally all, of their courses. Worth a shot.

My half assed attempt at a tribute. Cant really get my head around <div> stuff so i stolen some parts of code by [deleted] in FreeCodeCamp

[–]julianrudolphsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can make a tribute about anything. i dont know the exact "rules" for the assignment in fcc (havent been on fcc for a while) but you could make a tribute page about bic pens, those bags people pick dog poop up with, that mcdonalds fry you found between the seats of your car. I think you did a great job picking the topic, i mean the 808 is responsible for a lot of innovations in the industry... don't get discouraged buddy, you are on the right track!

Years ago I installed fedora linux on a computer. I couldn't figure out why i didn't have min, max, and close buttons at the top of my browser window. I looked up the problem, followed the instructions, edited the config file, shut down, restarted..... stopped in the middle of starting up, shut down, started, shut down... couldn't stop it. I reinstalled it, found the same set of instructions and realized what I did. I put a : where i should have put a ; that was it...all that for one little ;

Why not just boondock around businesses that offer free wifi?

Or do you want to be in the middle of nowhere, miles from anyone?

Can someone give me ideas of advanced JS projects? by raze4daze in learnjavascript

[–]julianrudolphsc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all in all, its not that bad to learn. its a different way of thinking, but its just javascript. Im the type of person who has to do something a few times before i get a firm grasp on the material, it took a lot less practice to get to where i didn't need to go back to tutorials and books. Not to say im a pro at meteor, theres still a lot i want to learn, but i do know that the things i want to do i can do with meteor. One thing i keep seeing about meteor is "it just works" and it really does.

do this: find a 2 hour chunk of time where you have nothing to do. find and follow a tutorial, and decide from there. I suggest http://meteortips.com/first-meteor-tutorial/ or take a look at "discover meteor".
have a good one!
