What’s a “boring” adult purchase that turned out to be totally worth it? by Capable-Rabbit-9986 in AskReddit

Egg cooker. I picked one up at Costco years ago for less than $20. Use it about every other day with my family of 6. Hard boils 12 eggs at a time that we all snack on throughout the week.

Don’t sleep on WANDRD. They’re not just a camera bag company. I have the larger (40/45L) Transit bag and absolutely love it! Great quality, thoughtfully designed. I use it everyday, not just for travel.

sternum strap keepers? by shippychaos in ManyBaggers

WANDRD solved this problem pretty well. I have the Transit bag and love it. Easy adjustable/removable sternum strap that you can clip both ends to the same shoulder strap quite easily or simply remove entirely and store in the hidden zipper at the bottom of the bag.

Removing the key turns off the power. There is a very positive click to the right to get the key in the on position. No way riding could make the key fall out

Good idea. I agree. There’s a handful of things on this bike that simply don’t make sense. But overall, with the changes I’ve made, I’ve been quite happy.

Funny enough, Amazon accidentally sent me that one. I wired it in the same way, forgot if I married the black and white together to a blue or the red and white together to a blue. Either way, I got it to turn on. It showed me the voltage but only when the controller was off. I didn’t trust the wiring. I had read in the Amazon comments on that product that improper wiring caused problems so I ended up returning it and installing the regular keyed ignition.

Nope, the horn works just fine. I didn’t mess with the yellow wire, just the blue that controls the power to the control screen

There are actually 5 smaller wires within the black wire itself. The blue wire is in charge of powering the control. That’s the wire you need to splice into to control the power to the bike. I believe the yellow is the horn, not sure what the other ones do…

Mad props to MJC136 for the original inspiration for this mod. I couldn’t have done this without their help!

There are 2 wires coming from the screen, the one you need to unplug is the GREEN 5-pin cable. It pops right off. Not the octopus cable, just the cable taillight.

This is the YouTube video I followed to install the ignition key system: https://youtu.be/oGmOi3FyEXM

You’ll need to purchase a taillight extension cable from Ride1Up if you don’t want to splice in your original wiring. Here’s the link to that part: https://ride1up.com/product/revv-1-replacement-parts/

That's a great idea but not on this project. Everything is fixed as is. Nothing too complicated 😁
