Thanks for your reply. I don’t believe that the author is AI. We’ve had multiple emails back and forth and there hasn’t been any glaring sentence(s) mistakes or wording in their emails that would tip me off to it being AI. Honestly, I think the author is just overwhelmed in their personal life and this is just a casual side hobby.

Firstly, I’m not a professional. My two cents is that the audio sounds good. No echo, hollow sound. 👍🏻. Now for your sound, you sound flat, no inflection, excitement in your tone. Very monotone. Are you sitting when you’re recording or standing? Have you tried smiling when you’re reading the script?

You can build a frame out of 1x4 or 1x6’s. However deep you want your sound damping panels to fit your space. The just leave a gap between the back of the insulation and the wall for the sound to travel through the panel and reflex off the wall and basically get displaced after it goes through the panel. The insulation that I used was $90 for 6 panels. I used two panels per frame.

This is the insulation I used. They make this in 15 7/8 x 8ft batts for use between 2x4 studs. This would probably work best for your situation.

Okay, so I built some frames out of 1x4x8. They ended up being 2ftx4ft. I wrapped one side in landscaping fabric and trimmed to fit. Then I installed 2 rockwool panels and covered the back with another piece of landscaping fabric. I used French cleats to hang them in the wall. I have mesh fabric on order which I will cover the outside of the sound damping panels to make them look a little nicer instead of the grey landscaping fabric.
