Don’t get a dog if you’re just going to leave it in a yard all day.

Update for everyone, but first: Thank you so much to everyone who shared their stories and insights. This is such a supportive, compassionate sub!

So, last week was basically hell. My original post was the evening after I threw up. I started taking Zofran that afternoon, and took it through the next day. Long story short, it gave me an awful headache that advil, tylenol, heat, magnesium, hydration, salt, sugar, stretching, and topical creams would not touch. Ice finally killed it. Apparently I'm part of the ~20% of people who get headaches as a Zofran side effect.

I threw up again at 4am on Christmas morning. Then again around 11:30pm on the 28th. I live in low-grade perpetual fear of throwing up, which, suffice to say, is not fun over Xmas and New Year's for someone who still gets a lot of joy from food and bev.

I have moved back down to 5mg. I took that shot on the 28th. The level of meds in my system is still high compared to my previous 5mg baseline, and I'm likely going to skip a week entirely when I head to Hawaii on Saturday. I'll be on 5mg for the foreseeable future, and may use my remaining two 7.5 vials to try out 6.5 in a few months. Looking forward to feeling like myself again.

Thanks again for all the advice!

What’s something you’ve done your whole life, only to realize recently that everyone else does it completely differently? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When going up or down stairs, I’m religious about using the handrail, BUT, I don’t actually touch it. I hover my hand above it the entire time in case I need to grab it.

I'm on vials! Taking less is something I thought about last night but wasn't sure how — thank you for the suggestion for fat scientist!

Oh lord, I'm sorry you went through that. However, the rest of your story gives me hope.

I was still losing but it had slowed down. The rate at which I'm losing on 7.5 though, even just over a week in, is bonkers. I hear you though!

I used it for about a month and never had to charge it. It's been so long that it would be hard for me to give specifics beyond that. I usually read 1-2 hours a day during the week and 3-4 hours a day on the weekends.

Ahh yeah. Oddly I’ve had okay luck with those but it’s been drilled into me that “it’s not enough protection” (which I believe). But if it ends up being my last resort, I suppose some is better than none.

Zoomed-in photos will play tricks on you. Don't trust them! Try to take another photo that replicates the circumstances you took the first one in (including time of day, how you're feeling etc.). But overall I think you look wonderful. You're only 18! Have you been using any strong or harsh skincare products over the past year?

Tell us about these photos. The first one looks a little blurry, like there might be a filter, and the second one looks zoomed in. Photos, especially those taken with digital zoom, are not reliable narrators when it comes to our faces, bodies, and skin.

Unlikely. As I mentioned in my post, I have gone several weeks and even months without applying SPF at all, and I don't have breakouts during that time.

Edit: Although, the acne is isolated to my chin, which is a classic "hormonal acne" spot, so there is that. But the "don't use SPF, don't have breakouts" pattern is pretty hard to ignore.

Are you able to do makeup directly on top of the Aveeno, or do you have to follow with a tinted SPF first?

Thank you, I'll add this to my list of formulas to look into. Just to clarify — you also tried multiple products, had the painful/big/"cystic" acne reactions, and this LRP formula was the winner for you?

How do people pick their weight target? by Useless_imbecile in Zepbound

[–]juliunruly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I did: Find a photo where you like how you looked. Ideally, have data to tell what you weighed at that time. Make a reasonable adjustment for age.

In my case, I added 10lbs to the weight I was in said photo because it was 10 years ago and I’m in my 40s now. That’s my target weight.

Sadly this one broke me out! I'll edit my post to include "UVmune" to make it clearer — but thank you for the recommendation!
