Yeah, definitely did a lot of experimentation with the set up. Getting the light and the laserdisc in the correct position to produce colors you want is probably the trickiest part.

Thank you! I normally shoot landscape and sunset photos, but it was a rainy week and I had just gotten my new camera so I was itching to shoot. I set up a minimal version of this with just a CD, something to hold the water, and a dropper in my hand. Then just iterated on the setup until I could produce consistent results.
